I saw it in Local News.
Local government started to research actual situation of individual (not group/tour) tourist from Korea and Taiwan.
“First Research about Foreign Individual Tourists”
( Nov. 4 12:24 NHK-Kitakyushu )
We are also welcoming manny guests from these countries which is under their investigation.
As a guesthouse, host them on hand-on/face-to-face bases, we are kept on tenterhooks watching this activity.
Because the biggest merit of visiting Kitakyushu for foreign tourists are:
“Unexpected Good Experience”
and
“Innate and Unposed Hospitality of Local People”.
We hope that they will find true situation, tourists have wanted and will make a suitable/appropriate measures to satisfy those tourists.
We are afraid that they may appeal too much and lead to “Unexpected Bad Experience” which is called as “Disappointment”.
At first, local government should reflect on their past conducts. Such as:
*What they did about mobile street stall stores around Tanga area.
*Potion/Timing of spending precious money for local football team (stadium).
*Cat project in Ainoshima Island.
Some preparing plans also have big risk to downgrade. Such as:
*Redevelopment Project of Tanga Market.
We really hope that they have speed and sense.

なんとなく違う？ また過ち犯すの？
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
ニュースで見ました。
これまで実態を把握できていなかった自治体が、韓国台湾からの個人旅行客の動向について調査を始めたそうです。
「外国人個人観光客を初調査」
（11月04日 12時24分 NHK北九州）
当宿「灯火」のゲストにも調査対象になっているエリアからの個人観光客が多くいらっしゃいます。
ハンドオン、フェイスツーフェイスでゲストと接する宿としては、ハラハラしながら自治体の取り組みを見守っています。
外国人にとって、現在の北九州観光のメリットは、
「良い意味での想定外（な経験）」と
「（アピールしづらい）そこに住む人間の生来の気質」とに
よるところが多いからです。
アンケート形式の調査によって、旅行者が真に求めているものが把握できて、それを受けて自治体がとるべき適切な対策につながると良いのですが、数少ない貴重な観光資源を本来の姿以上にアピールしすぎた結果、「悪い意味で想定外」（つまり、期待ハズレ）にならなければと良いなぁ、と心配で仕方ありません。
これまでの施策やお金の使い方について、まずは反省が必要。
・旦過の路上屋台にとった施策
・藍島の猫対策
・地元サッカーチームへの投資対象とタイミング（スタジアム整備？）
現在計画中のプロジェクトにも不安のタネが少なくありません。
・旦過市場の再開発（屋台の二の舞い？）
今回のプロジェクト推進者がスピード感とセンスとを持ち合わせていることを願ってやみません
