Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
I am currently in the middle of reporting on my “dual-base” lifestyle in Tokyo side…
However, with two typhoons heading toward the Japanese archipelago, several repeat guests and supporters have reached out to ask if we are okay; so, I would like to share a quick update on the situation amidst the stormy weather.
It is raining so hard that Shimonoseki—usually clearly visible on the opposite side of the strait—can barely be seen from this guesthouse…
However, the wind isn’t particularly strong.
Guests come and go regularly, and there have been no particular issues regarding our hospitality.
While tidying up the room between guests, I often find myself pausing in my work, captivated by the sight of a small yacht out the window, buffeted by the wind as it makes its way across the strait.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who has expressed concern, and we would like to thank you while assuring you that we are continuing to provide hospitality with full power of energy.
We look forward to your continued patronage.

フルパワーで、、、
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
二拠点生活の東京編をレポートしている最中ではありますが、、、
日本列島に台風が二つ向かっているということで、リピーターゲストさんやサポーターさんの何人かから「大丈夫ですか」と心配していただいているので、荒天下の近況を報告します。
当宿から、いつもははっきり見える対岸の下関はほとんど見えないほど雨が降っていますが、、、
風はそれほどではありません。
ゲストさんにはコンスタントに出入りしていただいており、おもてなしについては特に問題は生じておりません。
ゲスト間のルームメイキングの途中には、窓から見える海峡を小さなヨットが風に煽られながら進んでいるのに気を引かれてしまい、掃除する手が止まりがちです。
心配いただいている方々にはありがたく、お礼申し上げるとともに、通常通りエネルギッシュにおもてなししていますことをお伝えいたします。
今後とも当宿をご愛顧のほどどうぞよろしくお願いします。
