Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Ever since I got a taste of that blissful feeling last week in a hot spring town within “Hot Spring Prefecture,” I’ve been craving one thing above all else…
A big bathtub!
So, I decided to finally visit a *sento* (public bathhouse) that I’d been curious about—one I’d driven past countless times on my way back from the beach but never actually stopped at.
And let me tell you…
that decision paid off big time!
My first impression was… it’s spotless!
Having visited countless public bathhouses – from Mashike in Hokkaido in the north to Koza in Okinawa in the south – this one ranks among the top one or two for cleanliness.
I assumed it was old – dating back to the early Showa era, perhaps – but it turns out it was actually founded in 1919 (Taisho 8).
Kitakyushu really lives up to its reputation… it really is home to some hidden gems!
While there are some issues regarding accessibility, I would like to recommend this place to guests who drive a rent-a-car to visit the night view spots or the outlet mall.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
先週、温泉県の温泉町でその気持ちよさに味をしめてから無性に行きたくなっていたのが、、、
大きな湯船！
で、いつも海の帰りにその前を何度も通り過ぎながら、行っていなかった気になっていた銭湯に行ってみました。
それが、、、
大当たり！
一番の印象は、、、きれい！
北は北海道増毛から南は沖縄コザまで数多くの銭湯を回ってきた中でも、１・２を争うほどの清潔さ！
古いといってもまぁ昭和一桁ぐらいからかなと思ったら、なんと大正八年創業らしいです。
さすがは北九州、、、あるところにはありますねぇ、隠れた名店が！
当宿のゲストさん達にお勧めするには、アクセスの問題がありますが、、、
レンタカーで夜景やアウトレットに行かれるゲストさんにお勧めしたいと思います。
