The changing townscape of my hometown
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
This is the town where the host was born and raised.
When I took a walk around town for the first time in a while, I noticed that a lot of things had changed.
In the center of town, which is extended from the station, where I often went shopping in my childhood,
there was one supermarket that could be called as the main store of the town.
the store was unable to continue its business and closed last year, despite developing various survival strategies.
The corner that used to be crowded with people no matter on weekdays or weekends was empty now.
All parts of this city are deserted, but I feel that the town I am most familiar with is undergoing the biggest transformation.
I understand that this can’t be helped since most of my classmates I used to hang out with in the town are now living outside Tokyo and other cities.
I do miss the good old days of this town.
Although I understand that it will be difficult to reconstruct the town, I would like to see it slowly transform into a town that is desolate but still easy to live in.
Thank you and you have a nice day taking advantage of population decline.
