Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
It’s already been two months since this year started. There is another trend that has been increasing recently.
There are people who choose Japan for their first overseas trip. And there are guests who choose Kitakyushu as their destination.
And many of them chose our guesthouse as their accommodation for their first day in their trip to Japan.
Up until last year, many guests had come to Kitakyushu for their third trip to Japan after Osaka (Tokyo) and Fukuoka. So this is a big change.
This is an extremely important responsibility.
Because their first impression of this country will be decided at our guesthouse and hosting.
Until now, such a major role has been played by top tourist spots such as Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo. But all of a sudden, such a big responsibility has been entrusted to a little guesthouse TOUKA in the little town of Komorie.
So we feel a strong need to welcome you with all my heart. At the same time, we hope that everyone in this city of Kitakyushu will learn about this change and improve their spirit of hospitality even a little.

最近の傾向２
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
今年になって早や２ヶ月が過ぎようとしています。最近増えてきた傾向がもうひとつあります。
それは初めての海外旅行に日本を選ぶ方、そしてその行き先に北九州を選ぶゲストさん。
で、さらにいうと、初めての日本での初日の宿に当ゲストハウスを選ばれているんです。
これまでは、大阪（東京） – 福岡 – 北九州 と３度目ぐらいの日本旅にこちらに来る方が多かったのですが、大きな変化です。
これはもう責任重大！
なんてったって、この国のファーストインプレッションが当宿で決まるんですから、、、
そんな大役はこれまで大阪や京都や東京という一流の観光スポットが担っていたのが、いきなりちいさい町 小森江の ちいさいゲストハウス「灯火」に任されているわけです。
それはそれは心してお迎えしなければいけない気持ちが高ぶると同時に、この街 北九州の皆さんにもこうしたことを知って少しでも「おもてなし」のこころを高めてもらえたらなぁと思います。
