Let’s go hunting the Spring in Japan!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Under soft spring sunlight, we went to the mountain owned by my relative.
To harvest the spring product of Kitakyushu.
This year is called URADOSHI (year of reverse side), and less hope to get good harvest. However once we got into the mountain,
there is bunch of bamboo shoots everywhere.
Their size is not so big but our backpack and bags were full of bamboo shoots after couple of hours.
Bamboo shoot is one of Kitakyushu’s speciality and quality is high and taste of spring makes us happy.
If there are anyone in TOUKA’s guests who are interested in bamboo shoot hunting, please inform us so in advance. We will check our schedule and reply we can go or not. (We must take care other guest.)
And the harvest is pretty much depends on the nature, weather and rivals. Our biggest competitor is wild boar!

にっぽんの春を狩りに、、
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
うららかな日差しの中、親戚の山へ春を収穫しに行ってきました。
今年は裏年とも呼ばれ、採れないよと言われていましたが、いざ山の中へ入ってみると、
いたるところでニョキニョキと、
サイズこそ小ぶりなものが多かったけれど、リュックに、両手の袋に、いっぱいの収穫となりました。
たけのこはココ北九州の名産品で、クオリティは高く、うれしい春の味覚です。
もしゲストの中で、このたけのこ狩りに興味のある方がいれば、事前にそのことを伝えてもらえれば、都合が合うかどうか連絡いたします。（ほかのゲストの状況など要考慮なので）
ただ収穫できるかどうかは、自然相手のことなので保証は出来ませんけれど、、、
（気候や、天候に左右され、最大のライバルは山の主「イノシシ」ですから）
