To the new imperial era!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

To celebrate the start of the new imperial era “REIWA”, it seems that they held firework event even in this port town.

But we enjoyed together with our guests, watching more wonderful attraction than fireworks.

The room layout that we have strait view from dining room, reception and Japanese style lounge allow us to enjoy watching this attraction for free.

Cruising passenger boats which go through this strait are getting more and more flashy recently.

新しい時代へ！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

時代が「令和」に変わったことを記念して、わが港町でも花火など上がっていたようですが、、、

「灯火」では花火よりも素敵なアトラクションをゲストといっしょに楽しみました。

皆が集うダイニングや受付、談話室から海を望むレイアウトになっているからこそ、このアトラクションを楽しむことが出来ます。それもタダで！

この海峡を航行する客船は、最近になってどんどんと派手になっているようです。

Cool way to spend Christmas Holiday!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

This year, Mojiko doesn’t have Christmas fireworks.

But Shimonoseki does have more fireworks than usually.
We could see them from our guest rooms.

However in TOUKA, we saw much more wonderful thing together. One guest, who came here attend a conference, is a professor of astronomy who came from the country of grass fields. She proposed us to see it together by using our astronomical telescope, we got at flea market.

According to her, it is easier and more beautiful to see than full moon.

We all are impressed more by the circle of natural for long time, than artificial circle.

クリスマス・ホリデーの粋な過ごし方！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

今年の門司港は、クリスマスの花火が上がりません。

その分、昨日は対岸の下関で景気よく上がっていたようです。
「灯火」からもその様子が見えました。

ここ「灯火」では花火よりもっと素敵なものをみんなで見ました。
学会に参加するために利用いただいたというゲストが、草原の国からやってきた天文学の教授で、その先生の呼びかけで、フリマで買ったウチの天体望遠鏡を使ってみんなで見ました。

満月よりも見やすくて、綺麗なんだそうです。

人工的な丸よりも、太古からの丸に皆で感動しました。

Afterglow of Summer

After thunder storm was gone this morning, it got cool here in Kanmon area.

When we were waiting for guests check-in in the twilight time, we heard the sound of thunder again. But it was not thunder, but we could see fireworks raised a little far from here.

Fireworks in September. We bathed in the afterglow of summer.
(In summer time, we could see fireworks every weekend somewhere in Kanmon area.)

夏の余韻

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。

昨日の朝、激しい雷雨が通り過ぎたあと、関門エリアはぐっと涼しくなりました。

黄昏時になり、ゲストの到着を待っている間、また遠雷が聞こえてきたかと思うと、窓の外で花火が上がっているのが見えました。

9月の花火、、、夏の余韻にひたるひとときでした。
（夏の間、週末はいつもどこかで花火が上がっているのが見えていた関門です。）
