In fully blooming Wisteria Garden which I posted last article,
it is fun watching not only flowers but also people there.

In the garden, people are all in full bloom/smile.

Specially smile of families with children were remarkable.

Small children looked around in mass of beauty of their first ever flowers.
And smile of their father/mother is so warm and impressive.

Children seems to have power to deliver smile to their father/mother,
and also to everyone who is watching them.

We really want them to see a lot of beautiful things, don’t we?

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

先に紹介した満開の藤園。
美しい花を愛でるのは楽しいのですが、
それに勝るとも劣らず、そこにいる人々を見るのも興味深いです。

特に、子供連れの家族の笑顔が際立っていました。

ちいさい子供達は始めてみる迫力の美しさに目をキョロキョロ。
そんな様子を笑顔で見つめる親の笑顔が印象的でした。

見る人の顔をもみな笑顔にしてしまう不思議な力を持っているようです。

幼い頃からたくさんキレイなものを見せてあげたいですね。

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Japanese (Korean) Golden Week is over.
As no guest on Sunday, I went THERE in the Monday morning by myself.

It was still in full bloom and smell of the flower maximum.

Now I know the reason why the place fascinates people from all over the world,

and why CNN select it as one of “Japan’s 34 most beautiful places”.

P.S. Dear my old friends, who grew up together here and is living in other places like Tokyo.
Our home town is so beautiful that bunch of people from the world are visiting here.
Don’t you come back here? Next Golden Week is the right time to do it!

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

日本のゴールデンウィークが終わりました。
（韓国でもGWだったみたいです。）

日曜泊のゲストがなかったので、月曜朝自分でも行ってきました。

まだまだ満開で、花の香りも最高でした。

実際に自分の目で確かめたことで、
どうして世界中の人が魅了されるのか、
CNNが『日本の最も美しい場所31選*』の一つに選んだのか、
（*現在は34選）
とてもよく分かり／感じました。

Father and a little son. We will not stay here again.

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

“I think that we will not stay here again.”
It is not the comment about us TOUKA, but that is the comment we should not get from our guests.

A few months ago, there came a request for stay from a father and his small son in the midnight. We send positive reply, but they cancelled early next morning before I woke up. I have been curious about what kind of accommodation they used finally. I could know occasionally where they did stay.

I also read their comment about the place. It was as the title of this article “If I am asked whether I will stay again or not, I will answer never stay there again”.

As I felt same smell as myself, I bet that he is a single father. I did inform him of myself as a single father too. They, specially his son, must enjoy their trip to Fukuoka. So I felt sorry and regretted about their cancellation.

It is the condition that kids must stay with their guardian but we have a various ideas and tools to entertain kids to have fun staying here.

In this holidays, we will have a family guests of one mother and her kids.
We will make effort for the kids to have fun and good memories here.

親ひとり子ひとりで宿泊、、、もう二度と泊まりません

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

「多分、もう二度と泊まりません」とのコメント。

もちろん「灯火」についてのものではありませんが、この業界で開業して以来、最も回避しなくてはいけないコメントだと恐れているものです。

先だって、ウチに泊まれるかと深夜に問合せを受けて、前向きな回答をするも、翌朝起きる前に予約申請取り消しをされた父ひとりとちいさな子ひとりのお客様。結局どんなところに泊まられたのか、とても気になっていたのですが、ふとしたことでそれが分かりました。

その親子が宿泊先に対して残したコメントがタイトルの通り、「もしまた泊まるかと聞かれたら、二度と泊まりませんと答えます。」

問合せの際、同じ匂いがしたので、きっとシングルファーザーだったと思います。自分もそうであったことを伝え、こちらでお泊りいただければ、お子様にも楽しんでもらうつもりだったのですが、、。せっかく親子での旅行をされたのに、、、なんかとても申し訳なく、残念な気持ちになりました。

「灯火」では親同伴が原則ですが、大人だけでなく、キッズにも楽しんでもらえるよう仕掛けを色々考えています。
