Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Sad News for my old friends who love this home town.
When I visited Moji station, it has gone from platform #1&2.
What is it?
There was a “UDON Stand” there, but no longer there.
Their KASHIWA ( = chicken) UDON is a kind of our SOUL FOOD.
But it is not so critical for myself.
That is because there was no UDON Stand in my high school days
and Moji is no longer my home station, but Komorie is.
HOWEVER, I was afraid and went there.
Yes, Platform #7&8 of Kokura station!
That platform is for the train to Mojiko and
UDON Stand there was very convenient for us to get reasonable light meal.
So we often used the stand after we played in Kokura.
It is the real SOUL FOOD for us, the residents of Moji ward.
Ah, the stand was covered by the board!
But there was a patch of paper on the board.
It was telling that the stand is being renovated and re-open in the autumn.
That made me feel easy.
This is pre-alert for my friends who are going to come back to this town in this summer and try to visit that UDON stand, when they feel hungry after getting off train/airplane.
(If you really want to eat that KASHIWA UDON in Kokura station, you can use another branch stand locates on platform #1&2.)
But unfortunately, the UDON Stand in Moji station doesn’t have a patch of paper like Kokura and it is really closed.
This is a affection of population decline in Moji ward, isn’t this?

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
故郷を愛する同級生の皆さんへ残念なニュースです。
久しぶりに門司駅に行ってみると…
なんと、１・２番ホームから、な、なくなっていました！
何がって?
立ち食いうどんが です。
駅の立ち食い「かしわうどん」といえば、まさに自分達のソウルフード。
ただ門司駅の立ち食いうどんについては高校時代にはなかったし、
自分にとっては今や新設の小森江駅が最寄り駅なので、ショックはそれほどでもないのですが、、、
もしやと心配になったので行ってみました、
そう、小倉駅7番8番プラットフォーム。
門司港駅行きのホームにある立ち食いうどんは、まさに自分たちにとってのソールフード。
街で悪さした後、帰りの電車に乗る前によく立ち寄った思い出の味。小腹の友。
あぁっ、板で囲われてる！
ただ、よく見ると張り紙が、、、
どうもこの夏の間に改装工事をするようです。秋にはまた再開するそうで、ホッと胸を撫で下ろしました。
以上、夏に向けて帰省される際、ちょっと小腹が空いたから寄ろうかな、と考えた人が驚かないように事前情報です。
（改札口にある駅弁屋に聞いたところ、1番2番ホームにも同じうどん屋があるそうで、マジであのかしわうどんを食べたくなった人はどうぞそちらへ。）
ただ、門司駅の立ち食いうどんには張り紙すらないので本当に撤退のようです。
人口減少の影響って、こういうところにも現れるんですね。
