Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Do you in foreign countries know that there is a week in Japan which is called “Golden Week”? It is a fancy name, isn’t it? Meaning is a little different but our “Golden Week” holidays are very similar to “Chinese New Year” holidays. It means ethnic migration!
The “Golden Week” will start next week. But coming “Golden Week” is quite different from usual. Yes, it is because of COVID-19.
If we want to go abroad, most of airlines canceled their flights. Even if we could fly somewhere, they will hold us in hotel or some place for about 2 weeks. One week holiday is not enough to go out from the hotel.
Now in Japan, many sightseeing spots are requesting to tourists from out of town “DO NOT COME!” We saw a news that local governments which own most popular beach “Shonan”, Tokyo people’s Riviera, want to close the beaches to shut out people from outside. (I feel very strange, because most of local towns in Japan were struggling to promote themselves to tourists tens of days ago.)
Such phenomenon is also seen around here too.
(though the area was not promote very much for tourists)
During once a year, week holidays, no place to go! Everyone in Japan is noticing that area’s capability for self-sufficiency of refreshment is very important from now on.
Another new corona virus may cause next year. And no one can avoid aging which prevents us from going long trip. In this respect, we strongly recommend this place. Don’t you try to stay here? We will do our best to support you.

リフレッシュメント – 自給自足力
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
海外のみなさんは知っているでしょうか、日本にはゴールデンウィークという素敵な名前の週があることを？
意味合いは少し違いますが、その期間で起こることは「春節」に似ています。つまり民族大移動です。
そのゴールデンウィークが始まるのがちょうど来週からです。ところが今年はいつもと様子が違います。そう新型コロナウイルスの存在です。
海外へ行くにも航空会社は運行を辞めているし、仮に飛行機に乗れたとして、到着した先ではどこも２週間程度の監禁が待っているので、外出出来るまでにウィークでは足りません。
日本国内でも観光地がこぞって「よそ者は来るな！」と激しく訴えています。昨日のニュースでは都民のリビエラ「湘南海岸」を持つ自治体が都心から押し寄せる人の流れを心配し、海岸封鎖を求める姿が報道されていました。（つい数十日前では、日本各地でどうやって誘致するか競って悩んでいたのに、なんかとても不思議な気がします。）
そんな光景がこの周辺でも見られるようになりました。
（こちらは元々強力な観光客誘致などしていない場所ですけれど、、、）
年に一度、春の長期休暇のチャンスなのにどこにも行けないなんて。住んでいる地域のリフレッシュメントの自給自足（地産地消）力が問われる状態ですね。
また新たな感染症が起こるかもしれないし、そもそも歳をとると遠くに行くこと自体が億劫になりますからね。その点、この町は結構オススメです。一度試しに住んでみませんか？当宿あげてサポートさせていただきます。
