Need Party People or not？

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The big city, Tokyo, where I had been living for years, is exciting. Yes, I agree with that.

Tokyo adopt various culture from all over the world and create its own style.
Tokyo cannot offer that by itself, but many people come to see there.

Specially food culture is developed so much. RAMEN has been advanced a lot after the world war. Curry Rice cannot be as national food of Japan without innovation in Tokyo.

To adopt new and different culture:
*positive misunderstanding toward brand new thing,
*naive and fearless character as a flog in the well called as island,
*challengeable shame of travelers from both domestic and foreign (rural) country,
*flip and easy-resetting attitude after mistake, that came from getting tired easily,
These Tokyo style specialties have pushed superb development.

However, not like food culture, entertaining culture has dangerous aspect.

For example, pair of lovers days in both Feb. and Mar. were started with quite misunderstanding and commercial purpose.

Autumn event, which has western origin, has been expanding year after year and police department have to attend to organize one town in Tokyo. The phenomenon is more than weird level.

As American style of this event, for children mainly, is my favorite style, I personally feel strange with Japanese style, which is not for kids and never use cliche nor goods except costume for adult.

I wonder if this event in Tokyo can stay focused by the tourists from the world, as festival for party-people who want to be children forever.

By the way, how do we feel about event of party-people’s style as a guesthouse? We feels like twice is at most in a year, because we want to provide relaxation rather than excitement.

パーリーピーポー要る？要らない？

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

ずっと暮らしていた大都市、東京。

エキサイティング、、、確かにそれは認めます。

世界中のいろんな文化を取り込み、独自文化を作り上げ、
自らは発信は出来ないながら、世界中が見物にくる。

なかでも食文化の発展はめざましく、大戦後ラーメンは大いなる進化を遂げ、カレーライスもまた東京での創意工夫なしでは、これほどまでの国民食にはなりえなかったはずです。

異文化の導入にあたっては：
*新しもの好きの積極性と誤解、
*島国という井の中の蛙ならではの常識知らず・恐れ知らず、
*日本各地、世界各国から集まってきて仮住まいする旅人(?)達の恥をかき捨てる覚悟・欲求、
*更には失敗しても、生来の飽きっぽさから「なかったもの化＝リセット」する軽薄さ、
そんな東京ならではの特異性が絶妙な進化を後押ししてきました。

ところが、そんな食文化とは異なり、娯楽文化は危うい面も抱えてます。

2月中旬の「愛」を讃える日は、対で開催される3月某日の催しと併せて、誤解したままずいぶん年月が経過しているし、

ここ数年、秋の恒例行事として、警察まで動員するほどに規模が拡大した西洋生まれのお祭りもどこか不思議です。

個人的には、アメリカで発展・定着した子供中心の形式に好感を持っているので、
子供不在で、決まり文句やお決まりの小道具も使わない、目的不明確な日本のスタイルには違和感を感じます。

いつまでも子供のままで居続けたいパーリーピーポーの秋の祭典として、さらに存在価値を増すのか、世界的な興味の対象でい続けられるのか、今後が楽しみです。

さて、パーリーピーポー的イベント、ゲストハウスとして全然ないのもさびしいけれど、「灯火」では年２回ぐらいでよいかなぁ。

P.S. ちなみに、、、本来ハロウィンは「明日」10月31日ですよぉ。
