New Bridge over Fast Flowing Water!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
I mentioned about “declining town” on the previous article.
There is a big project under consideration which may accelerate declining this town.
“Report was made about New Shimonoseki-Kitakyushu Route”（NHK 3/25）
The view of straits will be completely different from now.
There is a worry that new bridge may affect to shrinking population of this town, because our town will be out or the flow line of people. However is it true?
Does convenient traffic make population increase?
Traffic may increase, but on the contrary, people may not prefer to live in the town with too many car and people passing through.
In the first place, can people feel easy in the place with too many people?
(This idea always come up to my mind, whenever I see the many happy business man and OL(office lady) are commuting by super crowded train in Tokyo.)
This question may be quite similar to the question “Is rich people really happy?”
I believe that the most important thing is how we think/act in the place we live.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
先の記事で「衰退する町」について話題にしましたが、、、
実はそんな町をさらに衰退させる計画が現在進行中です。
「下関北九州道路 検討結果まとまる」（NHK 3/25）
きっと海峡の景色も大きく変わってしまうことでしょう。
新しい橋が掛かると、わが町が交通の動線から外れることで、人口減少がさらに進むのではと危惧する声もありますが、そこには実は大きな勘違いがあるように感じています。
交通が便利になると人が集まるでしょうか？
通過する人は増え、せわしくなるだけで、反面、そこに住みたいと考える人は減ることもあると思います。
そもそも、人がめちゃめちゃ集まる場所が本当に住みやすいでしょうか？
（すし詰めの満員電車で帰宅する東京の幸せそうなビジネスマン・OLを見るたびに感じます。）
この問い「お金がいっぱいあるからしあわせか」という問いに似ている気もします。
要は、そこに住んでいる人間の考えよう。
それでは、どうぞ今すでに持っている掛け替えのないもの（地形や水や風や景色いろいろあります）の価値に気付き、しっかり活かす素敵な一日を！
