Oh my gee! Such a regional disparity!

I have felt strange since I returned to my home town.
And I got the reason why yesterday!
I have had a favorite weekly magazine during my company business man period. Just before and after my retirement from ex-company, the magazine had inspired me a lot.
However, after I have returned to my hometown, the magazine is hard to get.
I could bought it at convenience stores in Tokyo, but there is not even the magazine shelf in convenience stores here in Kitakyushu. The magazine shelf is full of fashion, grommet, ramen, pachinko, automobile and adult magazines.
Most strange thing is that I cannot find the magazine on its sale date.
As so many time I could not find, I asked to book store staff where and why. And I see that there is time difference in delivery schedule between Tokyo and Fukuoka.
Fukuoka is 2 days behind than Tokyo.
Magazine industry has felt fear/risk of reducing sales of all kind of paper magazines.

But this magazine comes to Fukuoka, 2 days later.
Topic article of this week is funny. It is about local idol group, BUT Fukuoka is 2 days behind.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
ふるさとにUターンしてからずっと違和感を感じていたこと、、、
その違和感がようやくはれました。
東京のサラリーマン時代、早期退職を決断する２年前頃から読むようになったある週刊誌。退職に前後する頃の特集記事には常にインスパイアされました。
その雑誌がUターンしてから、入手しづらくなった。東京ではコンビニでも買えたのに、ここでは経済誌というジャンルの棚がない。パチンコやファッション、ラーメングルメ雑誌などは結構あるのに、、、
極めつけは、繁華街のある隣町の大型書店に行っても発売日に陳列がない！
いつ行っても発売日に雑誌がないので、業を煮やして店員に聞いてみると、、、
「公表されている発売日は東京のもので、福岡だと２日遅れになります。」とのこと。
この高度情報化社会で『２日遅れ』とは、ガッカリです。
ただでさえ、紙の媒体による雑誌離れが止まらないのに、
これだけ物流も発達して、ama◯onなどネット通販では翌日配送もあるのに、
雑誌などの基本的生活情報では、まだまだ地域格差があることをあらためて認識させられました。
それも今週号などは、福岡のアイドルが特集記事なのに、
その福岡が東京の『２日遅れ』、、、いとをかし。
