The Great Outdoor, Beach and Mountain!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Next topic is about Mountain after Beach.

I went to a Mountain accessible from here as a day trip.

As I was in the water, it was a Valley in the mountains accurately.

I try to fish there, some pretty AMAGOs* showed up from the stream.
(*AMAGO: Japanese original species of trout/in-land salmon. Specially in west Japan.)

There was perfect relaxation in the clear water.

Negative ion effect is not at all inferior to that of Japan central alps.
We can enjoy trekking of course, even free climbing there.

By the way, this information is not for guesthouse guests.
This place is a little inconvenient for guest to go sightseeing.

This is introduction of advantage for the migrant to Kitakyushu.
There is wonderful beach and mountains.
We can enjoy any kind of outdoor activity which people in Kanto area are enjoying.

海に、山に！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

海の話題に続くのは、やはり山。

ここから日帰りでアクセス可能な山に行ってきました。

山とは言っても、水辺なので正確には谷、本格的な渓谷です。

試しに竿を出したら、可愛らしいアマゴ*が飛びついてきました。
（*アマゴ：九州ではエノハ。朱点が見えませんが、ヒレは赤いので、もう少し大きくなると朱点も出てくるでしょう。ヤマメとは少し違う種になります。）

川底まで透き通る清流の中に身を置くと、心も洗われる気がします。

癒やしのマイナスイオンは、中央アルプスの山々を流れる渓流に勝るとも劣りません。
トレッキングはもちろんフリークライミング等もできるエリアです。

ちなみにこの情報はゲスト向けではありません。
ゲストが観光するには少し不便な場所です。

The Great Wave at Kitakyushu

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

We are reporting not only usual scene as small sightseeing spot, but also wonderful scene we easily overlook because it is too ordinary here.

Today’s report is beautiful ocean of Kitakyushu.

We cut and paste some views from different view point.

Recently, Hokusai is attracting public attention, but this is really “The Great Wave at Kanazawa”, no no “The Great Wave at Kitakyushu” without Fuji.

After taking these scenes, I believe that Hokusai also stranded in between his waves to observe them closely.

Anyway, this beautiful beach of Kitakyushu is one of my most wonderful findings since I came back to this hometown.

玄海沖浪裏

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

観光地としてのありきたりな光景だけでなく、日常的であるが故に見過ごしがちな郷土の素敵な風景を切り取ってお伝えしています。

今日は北九州の素敵な海について。

いつもとはちょっと違う視点で故郷の海を切り取ってみました。

最近、巷では葛飾北斎が話題を呼んでいますが、これぞまさしく海外で“グレートウエーブ”と呼ばれる「神奈川沖浪裏」、いやここでは「玄海沖浪裏」！富士こそありませんが、、、

こうしてみると、もしかしたら北斎は波間に立ち込んで、波を観察したのではないかとも感じます。

さてさて、波はともかく、この綺麗なビーチ。

この町で夢を！/ Try Your Dream in This Town!

Try Your Dream in This Town!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Last week, one young guest stayed in this guesthouse.

She was a teenager university student and came this town to confirm her dream and future job.

The reason why she came here is so this town.

Her dream is “MOVIE” (film making).

It was not confirmed yet, but she’s dreaming to work in the movie industry. She came to this town to join as an extra, and try to feel the atmosphere of making a film on the real location.

I thought that extras of films are structured by only local time-rich people. I was surprised to know that people who have concrete objective came to this town from other places in Japan.

By the way, filming schedule of last week was :
*Meeting Place : somewhere in Moji
*Meeting Time : 7:00am
*Finish time : Sunset

The place was so remote area and it seemed very difficult for her to show up there at 7 o’clock on time.

I wanted to bring her there, but I couldn’t. Because there were other guests staying in TOUKA.

However, one of our supporters volunteered to drive her there.

When she came back here, her face were full off satisfaction. She could not only feel the atmosphere as an extra, but also have a chance with movie staffs about film making.

TOUKA want to keep supporting dreaming young people like her, as the city of Kitakyushu is supporting film making.

By the way, it seems that my old elementary school also supporting film making.

この町で夢を！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

先週からこの週末にかけて、1人の若いゲストが当宿を利用されました。

まだ10代の若いゲストは大阪の大学生で、自分の夢・進路を確認するためにこの町にやってきたのです。

その理由が、とてもこの町らしいのです。

そう、彼女の夢は映画、、、

まだ漠然ながら、映画の世界で働くことを夢見ていて、まずはエキストラに応募し、制作現場を肌で感じてみようとこの町にやってきたのでした。

これまで、エキストラと言えば、地元のタイムリッチな人が参加するものだとばかり思っていましたが、こうした目的を持って遠くからわざわざ参加する人がいることを知り、驚きました。

さて、今回のエキストラは、、、
集合場所: 門司区某所。
集合時間: 7時。
撮影時間: 日没まで。
集合場所がとても辺鄙なところで、遠くからはるばるやってきて足のない旅行者には参加が難しい条件です。

他にもゲストがいるので、自分が送り届けるのは無理でしたが、当宿のサポーターの中から送ってくれる人が見つかり、無事現場へ送り届けることができました。

夜中、撮影現場から戻ってきた彼女の表情は、とても晴れ晴れとしていて、充実感に満ちていました。現場の雰囲気を味わえただけでなく、映画制作スタッフとも話をすることができたようで、素敵な経験がたくさんできたようです。

「灯火」はこれからも夢に向かって進む若者をサポートをしていきたいと考えています。

ちなみに、わが母校も、この町での映画制作をサポートをしているようです。

それでは、いくつになっても夢を追い続ける素敵な人生を。
