Is this emergent situation?!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

When I visited supermarket to buy guesthouse stuffs, I stopped at sanitary materials shelves.

Nothing!

All materials were sold out except only one school lunch serving mask for kids.
There are no masks on two big shelves in the store.

This is the latest situation in a very local town in Japan. How about your place?

これはもう非常事態？！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

買い出しついでに、興味本位で売り場を見てみると、、、

ない！！

数日前はいくつかの種類は売り切れでしたが、まだ残っているタイプのものもあったのに、、、いまや学校の給食用のものぐらいしか在庫が残っていません。
二つある大きな棚からすべての「マスク」が姿を消しています。

これが日本のとある田舎町での状況です。あなたの町ではどうですか？

冬の嵐 / Storm in winter

Storm in winter

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Around midnight yesterday, it got heavy rain suddenly here in Kanmon area.

Rain was so heavy that water curtain prevented us from watching strait and the other side, but we could see small navigation lights of a ship moving.

Heavy rain also hit our lighthouse very hard.

Even in such rain, this lighthouse kept lighting toward the strait. And it looked so brave and encouraged us in same time. (This lighthouse is a good partner of us.)

(This rain will shift to Kansai area and later to Kanto area. We are praying no disaster will happen.)

冬の嵐

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

昨晩、深夜を過ぎたあたりから、ここ関門エリアでは急に雨が激しくなりました。

流れるような雨のカーテンのせいで海峡や対岸は見えませんが、かすかに船の航海灯が動いているのが見えます。

当宿のすぐ上の灯台にも容赦なく雨が打ちつけます。

こんな日にも、この灯台が一生懸命に海峡に向かって灯りを送り続けている姿がとても健気です。（この灯台、なんかイイ奴・ほんと良い相棒です。）

（きっとこの雨、これから関西、そして関東に流れていくのでしょう。どうぞ あらたな災害など おこりませんように。）

うれしい便り！/ Happy Letters!

Happy Letters!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

On the day of new year, we Japanese like very first visit to a shrine, TOSO sake drink, OSECHI special new year foods, ZOUNI new year soup and,

“NENGAJOU” = New Year Card!
(Japanese post office deliver the cards in the morning of new year’s day.)

This guesthouse received several cards from our guests.

We found that some of such cards has familiar pictures as back ground. They are pictures we took here by our camera and sent to the guests. The guests chose the moment as one of the best memories in 2019 and that made us really happy. In the same time, we remember the moment with seeing the cards.

うれしい便り！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

日本のお正月といえば、初詣に、お屠蘇、おせちに、お雑煮、そして、、、

年賀状！

当宿「灯火」宛にもゲストさんの書かれた年賀状が何枚も届きました。

驚いたのはそんな年賀状の中に当宿のカメラで撮って、差し上げた画像を年賀状の背景に使われた方がいたこと。そのゲストさんの2019年の思い出のひとつに選ばれたんだと思うとうれしくて、同時にその時のことを思い出しました。

ゲストさんからの思いがけないお年玉にホッコリしました。

それでは、どうぞ楽しい思い出とともに素敵な一日を！
