The Greatest Harvest of Country Life!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
This week is just before Golden Week (GW) Holidays in Japan.
I drove to beautiful beach in this city to enjoy relax time before GW.
Not far from the beach, there is a house of my sister.
On the way back from beach, I dropped in at her house.
She was harvesting cherries from her garden.
The next day, I visited her again with big expectation. And her cherries were cooked and packed in small jars.
It was sweet and sour seasonal taste.
When I was working in Tokyo, I couldn’t imagine that I can visit my sister such often who is really good at cooking sweets.
The greatest harvest of my country life is not only fresh seasonal food, but also re-building fine relationship with my original family, such as digging bamboo shoot with my parents, eating and eating my sister’s fine sweets in weekday and getting support for staring hostel business from my brother.

最高の収穫！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
ゴールデンウィーク直前の今週は、、、
市内のビーチまでドライブしてみたりと、つかの間ののんびりとした空気を満喫しています。
そんなビーチのほど近くに住んでいるのが実の妹。
ちょっと顔を出すと、ちょうど庭のさくらんぼの収穫を終えたところでした。
下心たっぷりに期待して翌日また訪問すると、さくらんぼはちゃんと加工されて小瓶に詰められていました。
春の終わりの甘酸っぱい旬の味。
お菓子作りの上手な妹とこんな風に接することができるなんて、東京にいた時には想像すら出来ませんでした。
田舎暮らし一番の収穫は、両親と一緒にタケノコを掘ったり、平日の昼下がりに妹の作ったスイーツを食べたり、宿の立ち上げから協力してくれる弟がいたり、旬の食べ物だけでなく、実は故郷の家族との接点が出来たことかもしれないと、しみじみ感じる今日このごろです。
