Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Today is “Children’s day” in Japan.

TOUKA prays for the society where children keep smiling around the world as well as this country, Japan.

As my child is already grown up, I have been thinking about other children more than ever. I am hoping the day will come. The day, children’s smile is never destroyed by us, adults, even in any war or even in any family.

Thank you and you have a wonderful day surrounded by smiles of children.

日本中にこどもの日が、そして関門にもこどもの日が来ました。

今日は「こどもの日」。

日本中の子供たち、さらに世界中の子供たちが笑顔でいられる世の中を祈ります。

自身の子供に手がかからなくなった今、これまで以上に世の中の子供たちのことを想います。大人の手によって、子供たちの笑顔が奪われることのない日を願ってやみません。戦場でも、家庭内でも、、、

It is late July now and we have more family guests lately.

However there are nothing in this guesthouse TOUKA.
Of course, no TV, no video games, and we don’t have MANGA books which we can see most of Guesthouses in Japan.

But we place a few small gears which makes guests enjoy TOGETHER casually.

Away from daily life and without anything such as TV, which disturb family relations, we want our guests to enjoy original and natural family communication, talking/laughing together.

Yes, casually.

日常を離れて、子供と向き合う時間

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

7月も下旬となり、家族連れのご利用が増えてきました。

ところが基本的に、当宿「灯火」にはなにもありません。
テレビもビデオゲームも、さらにはゲストハウスによくある漫画すらほとんどありません。

それでもゲストが「一緒に」楽しめるささやかな道具・仕掛けをさり気なく置いています。

日常を離れて、ＴＶ等の家族とのコミュニケーションを阻害するもののないなかで、家族の自然なつながりをさりげなく味わっていただいています。親子らしい会話をしながら。

あくまでも「さりげなく」、、、

The Most Exciting Day!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

It is happy morning, isn’t it?

In Japan, many kids bring wonderful present back home.
Yes! today is the last day of 1st semester and they will bring score card back home.
Starting next day, all schools will be in the summer vacation.

It may be in summer vacation in foreign countries.
We are planning to have several family guests staying this guesthouse.

In this Kitakyushu & Kanmon area, we have nice event for the vacation.

“Kanmon Strait Fireworks Festival”

The day, August 13 (Mon), there will be most tourists get together in this town.

Room for family is full the date in TOUKA, but we have room for female guests.

15,000 flowers of light will bloom on the summer sky of this strait’s both side.

一番エキサイティングな日！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

うれしい朝ですね。

素敵なプレゼントをもって子供たちが帰ってくる日。
そして明日から１ヶ月と１０日間かわいい子供たちとずっと一緒にいられる夏休みです。

海外でも子供たちは夏休みなのでしょうか？これから何組か家族連れがいらっしゃる予定です。

ここ北九州・関門には、そんな夏休みにピッタリのイベントがあります。

それが関門海峡花火大会！（8月13日（月））

8月13日（月）はこの町一番の賑わいです。

すでに家族向けの部屋は満席ですが、女性用のドミトリーにはまだ空きがあります。

海峡両岸の夏の夜空に約15,000発の光の華が咲き乱れます。

それでは、どうぞ素敵な夏の思い出を子供たちに！
