Big surprise of mother and daughters in travel Kitakyushu!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Trip around Kitakyushu, which sisters planned for their mother who is first time in Japan.

They are surprised, when they ride on local bus.

There were full of passengers. The bus driver was great, they thought. Because he remembers passengers who use paper boarding ticket and checking everybody putting correct amount of fee into the fare box.

No, no, I taught them that there may be a money counter but the fare system relies on passengers’ honestness. In Japan, we were disciplined that cheating is a big shame than as a crime in our childhood.

“Wow, it is great thing. In my country, such system cannot be exist, because most of all people cheat their fare.” Their mother was quite admiring about Japanese people and made herself a great fun of Japan suddenly.

As a case study, I also taught them about the moderate behavior of the affected people in the Great East Japan Earthquake and their initial countermeasures of mutual help. They could convinced and were all impressed.

It’s nothing special for Japanese but super special for the people in foreign countries.
Japanese can be proud of such our characteristic.
Nowadays, our good national character is in danger, but I hope that we keep it forever in future.

Local bus is NISHITETSU in Kitakyushu.
Repeater guests of TOUKA use their bus very smart.

Place like “Cha-Cha-Town shopping mall” where is a little inconvenient to go by train, can be convenient place by using Nishitetsu Bus.

母娘旅、ふとした気付きに大感激！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

初めて日本を経験するお母さんを連れて、姉妹が企画した北九州旅行。

バスに乗って驚きました。

ほぼ満員のバス、整理券で乗車して、降車時にそれぞれの料金を料金箱に入れていっているけれど、皆が正しい料金を投函しているかどうか、ズルしてないか、全て覚えているなんて、北九州の運転手はスゴい！

いえいえ、料金箱にはカウンターが付いてはいるようですが、基本的には乗客の良心のうえに成り立っている性善説の仕組みですよ。日本ではそういうことでズルをすることがとても恥ずかしいことだと子供の頃から躾けられているんですよと、教えると、、、

スゴいっ！ 自分の国でやったら規定料金を入れる人はほぼいない。なんてスゴい国なんだ日本は、とお母さんは大感激し、一気にジャパン・ファンになられていました。

東日本大震災での被災住民の節度ある行動と助け合いの初期対応のことなども教えてあげると、感心しきっていらっしゃいました。

日本の当たり前、やっぱり世界に自慢できる国民性なんですね。
とはいえ、その国民性も最近は危機的状況ではありますが、、、
いつまでも自慢できる国民性であってほしいですね。

さて、北九州は西鉄バス。
TOUKAからは意外と便利で、リピーターの方は結構上手く活用されています。

電車で行くとちょっと面倒な「チャチャタウン小倉」への移動もバスなら一本です。
