Yes, I was out of Town for a while.

The place I have been was …

(Station front renovation is almost over.)

Watching this view from office window,
I finished meeting, lectures, and other things there.

Whenever I saw this beautiful building renovated recently,
I reminds our station building in our home town.

(It is also under renovation in Big White Box now.)

Both station buildings are born in same year, 1914.

Estimated time of renovation completion was postponed to
Autumn, next year.

It is my last hope in this hometown getting ruined.

We are really looking forward to seeing this station,
coming back with original beautiful shape.

うまれたままの姿に 〜 キレイになって帰ってくる

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

久しぶりの関門の朝です。

実は用事があって、留守にしていました。

どこに行っていたかというと、、、

（駅前整備開発もあと一歩という感じです。）

オフィスからこの景色を見ながら、
打合せ・会合・その他もろもろ済ませてきました。

この素敵に生まれ変わった駅舎を見るたびに思うのは、、、

そう、郷土の駅のことです。

（現在は白い箱の中でリノベーション中）

なんと両駅は1914年（大正3年）生まれの同い年。
（年度始まりを4月とすると、門司港駅のほうが1学年上の先輩です。）

現在のリノベーション終了が少し延期となり、
今年度末だったのが、来年秋予定となっているようです。

廃れ気味の故郷に正統派の開発リノベーション、最後の望みです。

あと一年と少し、、、
生まれた当時のままの姿に戻り、キレイになった姿を見たいですね。

Jewels of this town!  a Little Florist

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

A guest commented about bakery near TOUKA, which is once introduced in this site.

I said “it is old style (SHOWA style) bakery”
but she replied “That style is quite brand-new for me and I like it!”

I start recognizing the real value of this town.

Not only the bakery but also there is other fine shops and nice restaurants in this town, Komorie.
One of them is a little but wonderful florist.

Last weekend was “Mother’s Day” in Japan. I went there and buy flowers for my mother.

Usually most florists put very expensive price for mother’s day flower, but this shop didn’t put. So I bought ivies for our wood deck terrace.

この町の宝石！ 〜 隠れ家的「お花屋さん」

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

以前ここでもとりあげたことのある地域のパン屋さんについて、あるゲストさんがコメントを残されました。

勧めながらも、 “昔（昭和）風の古いスタイルのパン屋さん”と言ったところ、、、
彼女は “そんなことはありません。むしろ私にとっては新しいスタイルです”といって、とても気に入ってくれたようでした。

この町の魅力を再認識した一瞬でした。

 

実は、パン屋さんだけでなく、この町にはもっともっと素敵なお店やレストランがあるんです。

その一つが「可愛らしいお花やさん」です。

先週末の日曜、日本では「母の日」でした。日本中がお母さんに花やプレゼントを贈る日です。
そこで私はこのお花屋さんで花を買うことにしました。

通常、多くの花屋がこの時とばかりに花の値段を通常より高く設定するところ、こちらのお店ではとてもリーズナブルな価格で販売していました。

その日、私は「母の日」のお花だけでなく、「灯火」のテラス用にとアイビーも購入したのでした。

エネルギー感じました！ / We got Energy!

We got Energy!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

We held our event “Feel the Energy Trekking” last weekend.
and this time, one Korean Lady participate in the event.

She wore normal town clothes but climb our mountain, with a light step, without breaking breath. I wondered and she said that she likes trekking and her house in Seoul locates near mountains.

She already walked trekking course in Takeo.

It seems she likes our event and trekking course from Komorie.

According to her, famous outdoor brands gears/clothes are very popular among young generation in Seoul for town wear. (It is same in Japan, isn’t it?) Korean outdoor movement started with town use but gradually people who enjoy real outdoor are increasing now.

After enjoying wind blowing at the peak, we go down and took rest at our favorite cafe on the way to Mojiko and enjoyed panoramic Mojiko view there. At the harbor, she boarded on a boat to the other side of strait to eat SUSHI.

We have held this event since the opening of TOUKA, and now guest from foreign country start joining. From an objective viewpoint, her level of satisfaction is more than our expectations, on the way, at the top, in the cafe. So we are expecting more participants will come from foreign countries to join the event. (Because Japanese don’t understand merit as being Japanese.)

At last, I want to put the Japanese words, she often told us during trekking, as the keyword of May Trekking.

“KAZE GA KIMOCHI II! (Wind is so cool!)”

エネルギー感じました！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

週末開催したイベント“フィール・ザ・エネジー・トレッキング”。
今回は韓国女性が参加してくれました！

普段着なのに、息切れることもなく、ホイホイと登っていくので、聞いてみると、、、
なんと、トレッキング通とのこと。
ソウルにある自宅も山の近くだそうで、、、

日本でも、すでに武雄などを歩いているそうです。

そんな彼女ですが、「灯火」の勧めるこのトレッキング・コースをとても気に入ったようで、思いの外感謝されてしまいました。

聞けば、韓国では街着用に有名アウトドア・ブランド服がメチャ売れしているそうで（日本と同じだねぇと笑ってしまいました）、モノが先行する中、少しづつ本物のアウトドア・ライフも広まっているそうです。

中腹にある老舗カフェで一服し、門司港に下山。彼女はそのまま渡船に乗って、対岸へお寿司を食べに行かれました。

オープンから毎月実施しているこのアウトドア・イベント。ようやく外国人も参加されるようになりました。客観的に見て、ルート途中でも、山頂でも、カフェでも、彼女の感動の度合いは予想以上で、少しづつ口コミで国外にも（もしかして海外から）このイベントが広まっていくことを期待せずにはいられません。

最後に彼女が終始口にしていた日本語を、今回5月のイベント・キーワードとして〆たいと思います。
