Reunion – Memory

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

I was watching TV casually. The program was to visit abroad to find unique recipe which has never been to Japan yet. The country the buyer visited was Bulgaria.

In that program, Bulgarian local products were introduced by her. One of them was hand-mail pottery made in a small town, “Troyan Pottery”. They have unique pattern as their character.

I looked at our dining table and find similar plate like that in the TV program.

And I remember that the plate was the gift from our guest, who is a pro cameraman traveling around the world and that he told that he bought it in Bulgaria.

Unexpectedly I remembered him who stay here more than one year ago. He was the guest from the most exciting place in Asia now. And I wonder if he is doing well under the situation, his country is in the middle of chaos.

OK, let’s send a message to him by e-mail.

再会・思い出

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

何気なくテレビを見ていました。まだ日本にない料理のレシピを海外に買い付けに行くという趣向の番組でした。そのバイヤーが訪れた国はブルガリア。

番組の途中で、ブルガリアの名産品の紹介がありました。そこで紹介されたのは、ある町で手作りで作られている焼き物「トロヤン焼き」。なんとも個性的な模様が特徴だそうです。

ふと、ダイニングに飾っている小皿を見ると、今テレビに映っていた器にそっくり。

そういえばこの皿は世界を飛び回っているカメラマンが、当宿に滞在した時にお土産としてくれたもの。たしかブルガリアで買ったものだと言っていたことを思い出しました。

ふとしたことで一年以上も前に利用していただいたゲストのことを思い出しました。彼は今アジアで一番ホットな国からのゲスト。国が揺れている中でどうしているか気になり始めました。

そうだ、メールしてみよう！
