Just in time

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Now in Japan, many cities and areas are declaring the rainy season one after another.
Kanmon area (Kitakyushu and Shimonoseki) will also declare it shortly, today or tomorrow.

Just in such timing, flowers of Tsuyu “Hydrangea” are fully blooming here in TOUKA.

絶妙

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

今日本では各地で梅雨入り宣言が出されています。
おそらく関門エリアも今日明日のうちに梅雨に突入するでしょう。

そんな絶妙のタイミングで、ここ灯火では梅雨の花が満開を迎えています。

意外と好きかも / I think I like it more than I thought

I think I like it more than I thought

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Weather on Monday was rainy as I felt and as the forecast said on the previous day.

And it was heavy rain.

A ship running through the strait looked hazy.

When I was listening the sound of rain, I thought.

I may like it more than I thought.

Because I like the flower of this season. In addition, I don’t need to water the plant which I planted last week.

Since the opening of this guesthouse, we have kept our guest’s space Japanese and the model is partly the temple in Kamakura, which is famous of the flower in rainy season. So I was remembering the scenery, listening the sound of rain.

I do enjoy garden work between the rainy days.

意外と好きかも

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

前の日に感じたとおりに、天気予報で言ってたように、月曜の関門エリアは雨。

それも大雨！

海峡を走る船がかすみます。

雨の音を聞きながら感じるのは、、、、

意外と雨、好きかも。

この季節に咲く花が一番好きだし、その花を植え増ししてみたので、水やりしなくて済むし、、、

開業以来、ゲストスペースは和風にまとめていますが、その際のモデルは鎌倉にあるお寺だったりするので、雨の季節に映えるそのお寺のことを思い出したりします。

雨の合間の土いじり楽しかったりします。

Keen sense of season!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Every time guests check out from this guesthouse on the last day of the stay, we are concerned whether she/he could enjoy staying here or not. That is always our biggest interest, even though TOUKA is a little/cheap guesthouse.

One day this week, a guest handed me one thing at the entrance hall.

It was a gift which she drew during her stay here.

She stayed here in TSUYU season and prepared a gift considering coming summer.

We are sure that we will remember her, when we will have TSUYU season every year.

旬感溢れる！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

滞在最終日の朝を迎え、ゲストがチェックアウトする時にいつも気になることは、当宿での滞在で満足されたかどうか？ たとえ安宿であっても一番気になります。

見送ろうと一緒に玄関を出た時に、ゲストさんから手渡されました。

滞在中に描いたという素敵なプレゼント。
