It is not all bad!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

In Kanmon area, it become cold suddenly.

Yesterday, we were busy preparing additional heater and other winter gear. However cold weather is not all bad.

First of all, the air gets cleaner and view of this town also gets clearer.

Town of Mojiko looks warmer than usual with additional lights, because whole town illumination has been lightened since last weekend.

悪いことばかりじゃあない！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

関門エリア、一気に寒くなりました。

暖房器具の準備でバタバタしましたが、寒くなるって、悪いことばかりじゃありません。

まず、空気が澄んで、関門の景色がグッと綺麗になります。

先週から点灯されたイルミネーションのせいか、門司港は町一帯がほのかに温かくみえます。

やっぱり残念！/ Very disappointed!

Very disappointed!

The candle event, “Candle Night at Kanmon Strait” was a very good entertainment. It was lucky with minor rain falls.

However, there was one disappointment.

It is this gloomy dark building among sparking lighted town.

The station was partly opened on Nov.10. So it should be lighted even a little. A historic building on the other side of the road was twinkling but only one block of the station was dark. Honestly speaking, I felt really disappointed.

The illumination “Mojiko Retro Romantic Lighting” will be finished on March 17. The grand open of the station is some day in same March. If Mojiko station will be grand opened after illumination of whole town was turned off. That is really disappointment for all.

Furthermore, additional light event, Christmas Fireworks, which was called as “Christmas Finale Fireworks” in 2016, will not be held in this year. It is another disappointment.

やっぱり残念！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

この週末開催された、門司港キャンドルナイト、あらため関門海峡キャンドルナイト。とてもいいイベントだと思います。予報に反して雨の影響もなく良かったと思います。

ただ、ひとつ残念だったのは、、、

町中がイルミネーションでキラキラする中で、どんより暗〜いこの建物です。

（入場料のことではありませんよ。チャッカマン持参でチャッカり無料で入場出来ましたから。）

部分公開とはいえ、正式にアナウンスして公開してるんだから、少しぐらいはライトアップしても良い気がします。お向かいさんがキラキラしているのに、この一角だけ暗いのは素直に残念に思いました。

ちなみに週末点灯されたイルミネーション「門司港レトロ浪漫灯彩」は来年の3月17日まで。もし、町のイルミネーションが消えてから、グランドオープンで駅のライトアップが始まるとしたら、とっても残念な気がします。

もひとつちなみに、ここのところ毎年開催されていたクリスマスの花火（2016年には「クリスマスフィナーレ花火」と言っていた）は今年は開催されないようです。

On Sunday, we went out with lighters in hands.

Isn’t it bad that such wonderful events are held in hometown annually?

Not only big candle art, but also the candles which were prepared by the children in local kindergartens.

P.S. We advised the guests of Saturday to see this event. But boys from neighbor country were more interested in red lantern light of IZAKAYA than candle light. They said that they went to Mojiko in daytime and left there before illumination lighting was started. It seems like they didn’t know about the event. That is an unfortunate thing.

From the train arrived at station, many girls who seems from same country as the boys ran toward the candle lights. That is in contrast to the boys, I thought.

日曜日、ライターを手に出かけてきました。

こんな素敵なイベントが、毎年恒例で行われるふるさとって悪くないですよね。

区内の保育園児が共同で作ったキャンドルもまた味があって良かったです。

P.S. 滞在中のゲストを土曜日にも誘ったのですが、お隣の国の男子にはロウソクの灯りよりも赤ちょうちんの灯りの方が魅力的だったようです。彼らは門司港へは昼間に行ったそうで、イルミネーション点灯前に門司港を離れたとのこと。イベント情報伝わってないですね。なんかもったいない気がします。

駅に到着した電車からは、同じ国からと思わえる女子たちが足早に会場に向かっていく姿が対照的でした。
