A little after lunch time I found towering thundercloud behind our lighthouse.

Later around sunset time, I saw bunch of red dragonflies flying in the evening air.

Season is shifting much faster than I feel.

Please prevent yourself from regretting that nothing can be made after years will be passed.

お昼過ぎに、ウチの灯台のバックに入道雲を見つけたと思ったら、、、

日没の頃には、赤とんぼの大群が窓の外を飛び交っています。

自分の感覚よりもずっと早く、季節は移ろいでいるようです。

気がついたら、あっという間に歳とってて、何もしてなかったぁ、、、なぁんて驚かないように.

Happy as usual!

It has been heavy rain since the morning of yesterday.

Rain was too heavy that we cannot see the other side of the strait. And rain water overflowed like a waterfall from the roof of neighbor apartment.

Rain got heavier after dark and the steep road in front of TOUKA was like torrent stream of valley. Soon smart phone alert “Emergency disaster alert”.

The English name of 5th typhoon is “Danas”. It means “experience” in Philippine. But we don’t need any more natural disasters in this country and hope typhoon will go through.

So we hope that we won’t hear any bad news about floods, land slide or cruel arson.

いつもと変わらないしあわせを！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

昨日は朝から海峡の対岸が見えなくなるほどのひどい雨。隣のアパートの屋根からは滝のように雨が溢れていました。

夜になるとさらに雨はひどくなり、当宿の前の坂はまるで滑滝のように水が流れる始末です。スマホも大きな音をたててて「緊急災害速報」を報じていました。

台風５号の名称はダナス(Danas)、フィリピンでは「経験すること」という意味だそうです。自然災害はもう経験しなくてもいいので早く通り過ぎて欲しいですね。

今朝これから聞くニュースでは洪水や土砂災害、そして残忍な放火などが報じられないことを祈るばかりです。

晴れ男？！/ Sunny man?!

Sunny man?!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

On Sunday, weather had been forecasted as heavy rain with “evacuation advisory”.

However as a matter of fact, it was no rain till 3:30pm in this area, Komorie.

So, our third anniversary event was held without any delay or trouble. People who attended the event enjoyed guests’ fine art and wonderful live music with looking down Kanmon strait and ships running through it.

After event time, everyone enjoyed BBQ which the manager mastered in U.S. with talking and laughing together in the dining room of TOUKA.

We really thanks to the participants who walk up here in hot and humid weather.

晴れ男？！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

日曜日は朝から「避難勧告」が出るかもしれないという予報でしたが、、、

蓋を開けてみると、ここ小森江では3時半頃まで雨はひと降りもしませんでした。

そんなわけで、当宿の三周年記念のイベントは滞りなく開催され、利用されたゲストのアートや、関門海峡とそこを進む船達を眺めながら、素敵なライブミュージックを堪能することができました。

イベント終了後は宿主自慢のアメリカ仕込のBBQを頬張りながら、懇親・談笑に花が咲き、楽しい一日となりました。

蒸し暑い中、こんな急な坂の上まで、歩いて登って来ていただいた皆さんには心より感謝申し上げます。
