Good to be here on coming Friday in this port town
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
People who know, know that the best time of looking around this port town is “after sunset”.
It may strange the person who runs hostel is telling that the majority of tourists (specially Japanese tourists) will go back home or somewhere else after finishing after their one day trips without staying in the town. So some shops and restaurants start closing at 7pm and the most of them are closed at the time of 8pm, because they may know the tourist’s general behavior and custom.
When I walked around this town after 8pm on the holiday Tuesday, there were a few tourists. Because the next day is normal work day, most of tourists went back home.
However when I looked around the town closely, I could find several couples who enjoy working under illumination lights. It may not be big deal whether shops/restaurants are opened or closed. With not too flashy lights, they all looked romantic and they enjoy the world of loving couple.
Feb. 14 is just around corner and it will be normal Friday. So we can expect similar romantic atmosphere in this town again.
We do recommend to stay the Friday in this port town to the couples who are not affected by trends and maximize pure value of the time they are being together.

今週金曜日は、この港町へ
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
知っている人は知っているのですが、この町の本当の魅力は「陽が沈んでから」です。
宿屋をやっている人間が云うのもなんですが、この町を訪れる観光客（特に日本人）の大多数は宿泊はせずに日帰り観光で帰ってしまいます。それを見越してか、商店、カフェやレストランも７時頃から店じまいし始めて、８時にはほとんどの店が閉店していまいます。
祝日の火曜日８時過ぎ、この町を流すと、翌日には仕事があるせいか観光客が引き上げた後の閑散としていました。
ただよく見るとそんな港町をイルミネーション目当てで散策しているカップルをポツポツと何組か見かけました。彼らにとって、お店が開いているか閉まっているかはあまり関係ないようです。町全体を灯す派手すぎないイルミネーションは、そんな恋人たちにはとてもロマンチックで、どのカップルも二人だけの世界を満喫しているようでした。
おそらく来たる金曜日も平日なので、同様のロマンチックな演出が大いに期待できます。
流行に流されず、過ごす時間の価値を純粋に高めたいお二人に、この港町を素直にオススメします。
