Let us feel the seasonal turning point!

TV news is saying that Cherry Blossoms in Tokyo are in full bloom in this weekend.
It seems cherry blossoms started blooming earlier than normal in everywhere in Japan. They started blooming in the middle of OHIGAN period, special day to pray for our ancestors.
Could you visit to pray during this OHIGAN?
It had been cold rain in 1st half of OHIGAN week, and we had sunshine another half of the week.
We had no sunshine in spring equinox and we see big change of sun after that.
We could not see sun setting before equinox, because it set behind an apartment, but now we can see sunset clearly from this dining room of TOUKA.
It means that we could enjoy beautiful sunset until autumn equinox for half a year.
We know that sun set at the top of Mt. Sarakura, the highest mountain in Kitakyushu and we feel TOUKA like a big sundial.

P.S. SAKURA, Cherry blossoms in Kitakyushu just start blooming now. Full blooming time is about a week later.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
この週末、東京ではすでに桜が満開だそうで、、、
今年はどこも開花が早いらしく、お彼岸の時期ににかかりましたね。
お彼岸と言えば、花見はともかくお墓参りはされたでしょうか？
北九州では、今年のお彼岸は春分の日までが冷たい雨で、後半にようやく日差しが戻りました。
そのお日様、春分の日は雨模様で見ることが出来ませんでしたが、ここ「灯火」からみる太陽に大きな変化がありました。
お彼岸まではアパートの影になって見えなかった日没が、お彼岸を境にここ「灯火」ダイニングからもキレイに見えるようになりました。
ここから秋分の日まで、一年のちょうど半分、沈む夕陽を楽しむことが出来るわけです。
冬至の日には、北九州最高峰、皿倉山に沈むことがわかったし、なんか日時計のようなゲストハウスです。
それでは、どうぞしっかりお日様のエネルギーを受けて素敵な一日を！
P.S. 桜、、、北九州では木曜日に開花宣言が出されたばかりで、まだまだこれからという感じです。
