TOUKA keep proposing our guests such “TRIP”, ordinary tourists cannot experience.
Year of 2018 is just around the corner. So we introduce a little bit about “Must-See Event” of coming new year.
The first event we recommend is traditional culture which we used to enjoy everywhere in Japan, but can be seen rarely in big cities now.
It is “DONDO-YAKI”.
DONDO-YAKI is one of endangered Japanese public culture. Communities without strong relationship (KIZUNA) abandoned to hold event anymore.
TOUKA schedule to join it on Jan.14 along with the worship for safety operation. Of course, we ask our guests to join us.
DONDO-YAKI we are going is the best in several we checked this year.
It will be held in a small shrine but ceremony is well organized and ZENZAI (Japanese sweet soup) provided by the shrine is delicious. We hope our guests like the taste.
We want them to try baking MOCHI (rice cake) hanging from the rod to the DONDO-YAKI fire.
It is not advertised on guidebooks, magazines and even internet.

これから起こること！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
「ガイドブックには載っていないけど、ディープな日本に浸れる場所」
「デジカメやスマホでは写せないプラーナ（エネルギー）に溢れたスポット」
「インスタ映えはしないけど、思い出という玉手箱に光る記憶」
そんな普通の旅行者が経験しない「旅」を提案している宿が「灯火」。
まもなく2018年！ 年明けからの見どころに少し触れていきたいと思います。
お薦めは、、、
以前は日本中いたるところで見られたのに、今は大都市などでは見られない年明けの光景です。もちろん外国人旅行者で参加したことのある人は希少でしょう。
それは、、、「どんど焼き」！
町内会やご近所の「絆」のない地域では、なくなってしまった所もいまでは多い、絶滅危惧種の日本人の庶民文化です。
「灯火」では安全祈願のお参りも兼ねて、1月14日のお昼頃に行く予定です。
その日はゲストにも声をかけ、興味のある方はお連れするつもりです。
昨年いくつか回って比べた上の選りすぐりの「どんど焼き」。
規模はちいさいながら祭儀もしっかりしていて、こちらで振る舞われる「ぜんざい」はとっても美味しいので、ゲストも気に入ってくれるといいなぁと思っています。
子供達と一緒に、是非、竿の先に吊るして焼く餅も経験してもらいたいですね。
