Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Do you know what day is March 3rd in Japan?
It is the Girl’s Day, called “MOMO NO SEKKU (seasonal festival of peach blossom)”.
From ancient time, Japanese families who have girls have been celebrating Mar. 3 with decoration of HINA dolls and other HINA ornaments.
( I am not sure, decreasing happy marriage may caused by reducing this HINA festival.)
In present days, not so many families celebrate with huge set of dolls. But many towns in various area in Japan celebrating Mar. 3 with dolls, mainly for tourism or commercial event purpose.
Our town MOJIKO is one of them, displaying HINA dolls in various buildings for sightseeing.

世界中の女の子、門司港へ、、、いらっしゃ〜い！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
ご存知でしょうか？
3月3日は日本では「桃の節句」と呼ばれ、「女の子の日」です。
古くから各家庭では、その家族にいる女の子の健康と幸せな未来を願い、「雛人形」を飾りお祝いをしてきました。
（もしかしたら、幸せな結婚減少の原因は雛祭りの衰退かも！？）
現代において、雛人形を飾らない家庭も増えている中、イベントとして町をあげて「雛人形」「雛飾り」を飾るところが少なくありません。
我が町「門司港」もその一つとして、各観光施設で雛人形を飾っています。
