Fine Friends and Good Time

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

One year younger girls and boy of my high school got together at TOUKA to cheer one of them who is studying in Taiwan now, as she came back this home town temporarily.

TOUKA’s large dining table was covered by full of foods.
Joyful talking was fly over the foods.

I felt that “real face to face communication” between the friends is very good even after 30 years have passed since the day of graduation. I felt that stronger than at the party with my own classmates, because I could see it objectively.

ステキな友、素敵な時間！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

台湾で勉強中の高校の後輩が一時帰国しているタイミングで、その同級生が「灯火」に集い、彼女を激励する会が催されました。

ダイニングの大テーブルが食べ物で埋め尽くされ、その上を楽しい会話が飛び交っていました。

卒業してから30年以上経過し、今なお励まし合う後輩たちの姿を見ながら「リアルで交流する友」って良いなぁ、とあらためて感じることが出来ました。
自分自身の同窓会より客観的に盛り上がりを見れる分、その想いをより強く感じたのでした。

Good morning to the World, Tokyo and Kanmon!

The first weekend, Dec. 2016, we finished one event of visiting children’s orphanage. That was 17th Christmas Event.

It is very special event to contact / communicate with the Kids living there.
Event was successful. And there were a lot of smiling faces among both kids and us.

This year, there was also a smiling face of TOUKA’s guest

He was a motorcycle rider stayed TOUKA in the end of last month.
He rode his motorcycle on local roads, and he sent LINE message that he arrived at Kawasaki.

As I was in Tokyo for the event since last week, I e-mail him so.  He was very interested in our event and came to join it.

He wore costume of Santa Clause and rode motorcycle on the Tokyo road with us.

Not only riding motorcycle, he worked hard for the kids at orphanage.

He said that there is no such a motorcycle event in Korea.  And we suggest he should start it in Korea.

Now we are dreaming the day, that smiling face will be spread to Korea and the world.

やっぱりにっぽんは狭い 〜 ゲストさんと一緒に東京で笑顔の一日！

世界中に朝が、そして東京に、関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

2016年12月最初の週末、天候は晴れ。

17年目の児童養護施設への訪問を無事終えました。

日本にあって珍しく、子供達との“ふれあい”を重視しているバイク・イベント。
子供達と参加メンバー両方の笑顔あふれる素敵な週末になりました。

そして、なんと今回その笑顔の中には、「灯火」のゲストさんも！

先月末に「灯火」を利用いただいたゲストライダー。
関門からずっと下道で走り、先週、川崎に到着したとLINEメッセージ。

自分も既にイベント準備のため、東京入りしていたこともあり、そのことを伝えると、彼から是非参加したいと返信が。

一緒にサンタ服を着て、東京の街を巡ってくれました。

さらに施設でも大活躍。

韓国にはこんなイベントはないといたく感動していました。
だったら是非、ご自身で韓国で主催してはという話にもなり大盛り上がり。

いつの日にか、韓国に、世界中に子供達の笑顔が拡がることを夢見て、、、

Steepest in the World?!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The guest stayed in the chillest weekend of this season was a motorcycle rider from South Korea.

His motorcycle brought by KAMPU Ferry is Large size.

It was parked in the garage, next to our car.

Parking space is enough for a large size motorcycle.
The space is open but no need to worry for the rain.

If we move our car to somewhere else, more than two but maximum 3 motorcycles can be parked in this space.
(With fee for the car to be parked at other place, up to 3 motorcycle parking is acceptable in TOUKA.)

As I am also a motorcycle rider, I want more rider to use TOUKA.

However, honestly speaking, one thing need to be understood in advance.

The slope in front of the garage is steeper than the imagination of riders.

When I informed the Korean rider how steep our slope is, his reply is “It must be OK for me, because there are slope like this in Korea.”

After his arrival at TOUKA, I asked how was the touring and he replied.

“Everything was fine from Unzen to Kanmon, except this slope.”

To tell the truth, a rider from Netherland before him also freaked out.

As I help you to park your motorcycle, please come to stay at TOUKA. Do not mind about the slope.

世界最大斜度っ？！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

今年最高に冷え込んだ週末に利用していただいたゲストは、韓国からの若いライダーさん。

関釜フェリーで持ち込んだという、彼のオートバイは大型車。

「灯火」のガレージ、車の隣に停めてもらいました。

屋根付きガレージ、バイク1台は楽勝で駐車可能です。

さらに2台以上3台までは、車を他に移動すると可能みたい。
（その際は車を他に停める分の実費500円だけご負担いただけるとありがたいです。）

宿主自身もバイク・ライダーなので、これからはもっとライダーにも泊まってもらいたいですね。

でも、来てみて驚かれると申し訳ないので、その際の注意事項を正直にお伝えすると、、、

ガレージ前の坂がハンパないです。

今回のゲストさんにも予約された時点で、きっと驚きますよとお伝えすると「韓国にもこのくらいの坂があるので大丈夫だよ」との反応。

でも、到着して「ツーリングはいかがでしたか？」とたずねると、

「雲仙からはずっと大丈夫、でもこの坂が一番ヤバかった。」
だそうです。

実は、以前ご利用いただいたオランダ人ライダーもビビってました。

駐車については宿主も協力しますので、この坂に尻込みすることなく、ライダーの皆さんどうぞ「灯火」に滞在ください。
