Day trip to Hiroshima. Two days in a row!

We got guesthouse review from a guest, stayed in this summer.
He is our repeater guests and visit here again with more friends this time. What surprised us is the itinerary of their trip. They stayed here three nights and made day trip to Hiroshima, two days in a row. 1st day to Onomichi and 2nd day to Miyajima!
(He taught us that the big red entrance gate of Itsukushima Shrine is under repair work now. Picture was taken by him.)
We wondered about their itinerary, because Japanese do never day trip to Hiroshima for two days. We now know the true reason. According to his review, they wanted to stay in this guesthouse (again), not to visit Kitakyushu.) So they chose here as their base for Hiroshima sightseeing. They are from foreign country. I did feel lucky to have managed this little guesthouse and was about to move to tears, when we got such wonderful review about us.
We have another repeater guest this week. Now we renew our commitment to be a guesthouse which will keep impressing our guests and to make best efforts for the hospitality.

広島へ、二日連続 日帰り旅！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
この夏ご利用いただいたゲストさんから感想が届きました。
彼は当宿二度目のリピーターゲスト。お友達に声をかけていただきグループでご利用いただきました。彼らの凄いのはその旅程表。三泊の期間中、ここから二日連続日帰りで広島まで旅されました。（彦島ではありませんよ、広島です！）一日目は尾道、二日目は宮島へ。
（彼から厳島神社の大鳥居が今補修工事中ということまで教えてもらいました。画像は彼が撮ったもの。）
日本人なら、広島まで二日連続日帰りなんてあり得ないのになぁと不思議に思っていたら、感想によると彼らは北九州に来たかったのではなくて、この宿「灯火」に泊まりたかったんだそうです。それでココをベースに広島観光されたということだったんです。それも海外から。宿主冥利に尽きるコメントに涙がこぼれそうになりました。
この週末も別のリピーターさんにご利用いただきます。ゲストに感動を与え続ける宿でいられるよう、オモテナシに精を出したいと気持ちを新たにしています。
