Introducing our New Staff!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Two years have passed since we started preparing this guesthouse installment. As our partner ( = car) since that time started screaming from it doors and windows, we adopt new partner who have been long-awaited this week.

We bid sincere farewell to our old partner who contributed to our guesthouse operation and it was towed by new waved young guy who has unique background.

As our new partner is dark tanned cool guy, we are worried that it may too hot under the strong sunlight in summer. But we will work with this sharp partner to brush-up toward wonderful guesthouse and create new style journey together.

Dear repeater guests: Here, we introduce our new staff to you. Our car is no longer silver one, which was shown on Google Street. We beg to commend this new partner to your notice.

新パートナー ご紹介！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

ゲストハウス立ち上げから２年が経過し、当初から活躍してくれた相棒がもう限界だと悲鳴をあげ始めたので（窓やドアなどはマジで悲鳴をあげていました。笑）、今回満を持して新しい相棒の登場となりました。

これまで頑張ってくれた旧相棒には本当にお疲れ様。
ドナドナドーナと、とってもユニークな経歴を持つ新感覚の若者に大切に引き取っていってもらいました。

色黒なので、真夏に熱くなりすぎるのではと、とても心配ですが、この新しい相棒と、素敵な宿 〜 素敵な旅を作り上げていきたいと思います。

ヤバいっ、出れねぇ！！/ Shoot! Can’t go out.

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

I felt very very cold wind when I watched night view at the port.
It was really painfully cold and wondered why so cold.

Just like I thought heavy snow start falling after the midnight.
In the morning, it was whole white as far as I can see.

Shoot! Our guest can’t go out after check-out.

Yes, we are locating on a hill side and last 50m of access road is very steep. So ice on road is critical for us.

First thing in the morning, when we open this guesthouse, I checked the road. and there are crispy ice covered the road.

It is no use wondering, so we decide to keep watching conditions.

After taking breakfast, when guests were ready to check-out, road was half icy and pretty better than 2 hours ago. It is still hard go walk down the hill, so I decided to help guests carrying suits case. Fortunately, there were almost no snow on national road #3 and after.

We felt easy without any guest slip and injured at our slope.

Thank you and you have a wonderful day, you noticed sliding down to downsizing life is easier to live than you thought.

ヤバいっ、出れねぇ！！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

連休、港で夜景を見てると、やけに北風が冷たくて、指が痛くなるほどでした。
凍えてココに戻ってくると、日曜の夜半過ぎから本格的な雪になりました。

朝になると、あたり一面真っ白に！

ヤバいっ！ チェックアウトするゲストが駅まで行けないっ。

そう、「灯火」は坂の上の宿、アクセス最後の50mは急坂なので、路面凍結するとヤバいんです。

朝イチ、暖簾を出すタイミングで坂に出てみると、凍ってパリパリです。

悩んでも仕方ないので、しばらく様子を見ることにしました。

朝食が済み、チェックアウトの時間になると、雪の中から路面が半分見えるようになりました。それでも大きなスーツケースを持って坂を降りるのは大変なので、坂の下までお手伝い。幸い国道を越えて駅までの雪は消えてました。

ゲストが荷物持ったまま滑って転んだりしなくて良かったです。

それでは、自ら人生滑って（ダウンシフトして）みると意外と生き易いと気付く素敵な一日を！

Hard to make them understood?

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

It is extremely cold this winter.

Thermometer record -1 degree C at mid day 2pm yesterday.

I’ve never seen an icicle here since my childhood.

Majority of our guests came from much colder north countries but they are living in houses with strong central heating system there. Compare with that, we Japanese are living in cold houses without heater at corridor, stairway and restroom. So our guest may feel cold in Japanese house.

It is hard for them understand by explaining this is normal life style in Japan.

All we can do is welcome them further warm hospitality OMOTENASHI.

Thank you and you have a nice heart warm day even though your house or stock account are freezing in recent circumstances.

わかってほしいけど、無理かなぁ？

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

全くもってこの冬は、、、凍えます。

関門、小森江エリア、昨日午後2時の気温は、、、

なんと氷点下１℃でした。

この地元でつららを見たのなんて、ガキの頃以来です。

ゲストはもっと寒い北の国からいらっしゃるのですが、強力なセントラルヒーティングを備えたお宅にお住まいです。それに比べて、日本（九州）の一般家屋は廊下・階段・トイレ等に暖房がないので、とっても寒いと感じられるようです。

そういう文化だから、といっても分かってもらえないでしょうね。

さらなるあたたかい「まごころ」で「おもてなし」するしかない今日このごろです。

それでは、たとえ家の中や株式資産が凍えても、心だけはあたたかく素敵な一日を！
