Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
It is not bad staying in a guesthouse and doing nothing, only watching calm sea and ships, I thought on Sunday.
But the sea is not always calm and the nature is not always gentle to human beings.
We got this brochure by post mail in this month.
We recognized that we have to take care for such risks as residents near the sea.
Fortunately with this information, we understand that this guesthouse will be OK even in case of water hazard and we already prepared ourselves to survive more than several days even in isolation. We cannot reach to the supermarket we always use, because it will be in the water. But we found that both my parents house and another supermarket near by are dry and accessible on foot or by bicycle or kick board, using minor road.
There may be a low probability of such severe water hazards occurring. However we will be OUT without any preparation on both material and mental.
So we will prepare wisely with using this information for our guests’ and our safety and security.

海辺にて
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
海の見える宿から穏やかな海をぼんやり眺める休日も悪くないなぁ、と日曜の朝から海峡ライフを満喫しました。
けれども自然はいつも人に対して穏やかな顔をみせるとは限りません。
今月、こんな一枚が郵便受けに届いていました。
海のそばで営業するということは、こんなことも意識しておかなくてはならないんだなぁと再認識しました。
幸い、高台にある当宿には直接の被害が生じるリスクは低く、ライフラインもなんとか数日は確保できる備えです。食料品はいつものスーパーは水没しそうで車も出せそうにありませんが、水没を免れる実家とそのそばにあるお店には裏道を使って徒歩・自転車、もしくはキックボードでアクセスできそうだということがこの情報で分かりました。
実際に起こる確率は低いかもしれませんが、万が一にでも起こって、もしも備えも心構えもなければ、Ｏ・Ｕ・Ｔ アウトです。
今回入手した情報を活かして、スタッフとゲストの安心・安全のためにさらにしっかり準備する所存です。
