Japanese Title (邦題)： 「心に光を、港町に光を！」末尾に
Light on Heart, Light on our port town!
I went out to our port town with sunshine on Friday afternoon.
I visited only city bank in this town, which used to have various including Bank of Japan, and gallery of old custom building, which start new event on Friday.
“Shoko Kanazawa’s < Light on hearts > Chirography exhibition”
(She is a Chirographer of Down’s syndrome.)
Friday was the first day of exhibition but only one guest except me, and I could see her art works taking my own time.
The works I like are “Destiny”, “Providence”, “Life” and “Heart” written in various works.
The most favorite ones are:
“Abstinence” with strong power and
“Easy” made me happy.
Over all it was good exhibition and more than my expectation.
I walked around her works in 30min, but no other guests came in, and I had mixed feelings, noticing low people interest in local area, just as same as I predicted.
However I want to recommend this event strongly, because of high quality of her works.
It seems Shoko and her mother will show up on Sun. I want to come again if I can have time after guests’ checking out.
Exhibition room in old custom’s building looked different as usual because its lightings. They are set for another event on this weekend.
“Kanmon Projection Mapping”
Mojiko Retro area surrounding harbor was being prepared for that show. A lot of food booths were also installed in the park next to the harbor for another food/Ramen event.
In this 3-day holiday, bunch of people are expected to come Mojiko Retro Area. I hope some of them will have interests to see Shoko’s work exhibition.
*About projection mapping, I saw terrible ones in my life. I hope it will meet expectations in Mojiko, because the quality of building mapped projection on is so high, and many people will come here expecting good show.

心に光を、港町に光を！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
金曜日、掃除を終えて日差しも出てきたので港町へ出掛けました。
以前は日銀もあったこの街に唯一残る都市銀行での用事と、赤レンガの旧税関で興味のある展示が始まったからです。
「金澤翔子 “心に光を” 全国巡礼展」
初日にもかかわらず意外にも観覧客は少なく、自分ともう一人だけ。
以前から興味のあった彼女の書をゆっくり見ることができてなかなかよかったです。
自分の心に響いた書は「運命」、「天意」、「生命」、
あらゆる作品に書かれている「心」など。
一番心が動いた書は迫力の「断」と
見てるだけで、その気分になれる「楽」の二つ。
総じてとても良い展示だと感じました。
30分以上かけて見たのですが、その間、他の客が来ることはありませんでした。
地方での関心の低さが意外にも予想通りで、複雑な気持ちになりました。
しかしながら、「書」としてのクオリティの高さからオススメのイベントです。
日曜日にはご本人とお母様が会場にいらっしゃるということで、ゲストのチェックアウト後、間に合えば、それに合わせてまた来てみたいと考えています。
会場はいつもと照明の感じがずいぶん違って、荘厳な感じがしたのですが、実はこれは週末に行われるイベントのために窓に張られた目隠しのせいです。
「関門 プロジェクション マッピング」
第一船だまりを囲むレトロエリアはその準備が着々と進んでいます。同日「北九州ラーメン2017王座選手権」「フードイベントかんもん」なども予定されており、何台もの屋台の準備も進んでいます。
この連休、相当の人出が予想される中、そこから「書」にも感心を持つ方の流れも出来ればよいなぁと考えています。
＊プロジェクション マッピングについては、過去ずいぶんと「残念なもの」も見てきたので、この港町で開催される作品のクオリティに期待したいと思います。ベースとなる赤レンガの旧税関建物のクオリティが高いだけに見に来る方はみんな期待している筈ですからね。
