The best way to enjoy hot summer day in Kitakyushu!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
We are already in October, but temperature have still been hot summer day here Kanmon area.
Yes, this must be Endless Summer!
“Hot summer day” and “Endless Summer” made me feel about the beach.
Waves at Kujukuri (Chiba), Suruga-nasa (Shizuoka) and Enshu-nasa (Aichi) were good. However waves here is also good as well.
I personally feel that it is better here, specially this time. (This may be the blessings from Tamasaki shrine?)
Temperature is hot summer day and sea water is also hot summer sea. Short sleeves and shorts type wet-suits is best match to the waves.
The biggest difference from other beaches is after surfing.
After enjoying with waves whole morning, I enjoyed relaxing picnic on the grass. If only I stayed in shade, I have comfortable time feeling ocean breeze.
That was fun time watching the sea and talking about camping with an outdoor businessman who parked next to me and cooked just for himself in his lunch break.
It is really comfortable beach spot. An old man who maintains the park taught me that the park was made on the site where an Japanese restaurant used to do their business with the fine ocean view. So now I know why so comfortable.
OK. This is the best way to enjoy hot summer day in Kitakyushu!

真夏日の過ごし方 – 北九州編！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
１０月というのに、、真夏日が続く、ここ関門エリアです。まさにエンドレス・サマー！
真夏日でエンドレス・サマーとなれば、やっぱり海！
九十九里、駿河湾、遠州灘など太平洋の波も良かったですが、ここ北九州の波も捨てたもんじゃありません。
むしろ、こっちの方が良いくらいです。（これも玉前神社とお守りのご利益かも？）
気温は真夏日ですが、実は海水温も真夏です。ウエットスーツも半袖短パンのタイプでちょうどいい感じです。
で、他のエリアのビーチと違うのがココから、、、
午前中海に浮かんだ後は、芝生の上のピクニックでリラックス。日陰にいれば海風を感じて心地よいひとときです。
隣に駐車した外回りの途中でランチを”料理”してる今どきのアウトドア・ビジネスマンと、ソーシャルディスタンスを保ちつつ海を見ながらのソロキャン・トークを楽しみました。
なんとも心地よいビーチスポットです。元は眺望がウリだった料亭の跡地にできた公園だと、管理のオジサンに教えてもらって納得しました。
以上、真夏日の北九州の理想的な過ごし方でした。
