Not only Curry Rice, but also BBQ!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

BBQ party after our anniversary event.

A little volume of some materials left and I grilled them yesterday just for myself, utilizing time before guest’s showing up. They were “100% domestic beef chargrilled hamburgers”.

At the party, I grilled them for people attending at the party with a lot of thanks.
But this time, I grilled just for me. I cooked for the perfect hamburger.

Don’t you cook genuine BBQ, not Korean BBQ?

TOUKA has BBQ pit rental for our guests (paid service).

It must be the Perfect BBQ, watching ships back and force in the strait.
We are proud of our BBQ facility, in which, we can enjoy BBQ even in rainy day.

If you need, I can teach you how to cook.
I have a experience of learning home BBQ in the United States when I was an expatriate of previous company.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

イベント後におこなった懇親のためのＢＢＱ。

ちょっとだけ材料が余ったので、ゲストが来るまでの時間を利用して、庭のBBQピットで自分のためだけに国産ビーフ100％の本格チャーグリルド・ハンバーガーを焼いてみました。

打ち上げ親睦会ではみんなのために感謝の気持ちを込めて焼きましたが、今回は自分自身へのご褒美として完璧を目指してじっくり焼き上げました。

たまには焼肉バーベキューではなくて、ＢＢＱやってみませんか？

「灯火」では利用者にグリルの貸し出し（有料）も行っています。

船の行き交う海を見ながら、肉の焼ける音を聞くのは最高ですよ。
ちょっとした雨なら全然問題なくＢＢＱが楽しめる自慢の設備です。

必要であれば、コツなどもお教えします。
本場アメリカで（駐在中に）仕込んだホームＢＢＱの腕前です。
（仕事よりも仕事以外で得たものが大きかったアメリカでした。）

Did you eat it after the end of January?
This season’s oysters “Buzenkai Hitotsubu Kaki” is so good.

I am hearing many good comments from the people who joined “Kaki Yaki Matsuri” held in Mojiko.

However I saw several disappointing scenes at the event site.

Many tourists, including guests of TOUKA, visiting this town but,

Local government of Kitakyushu has been promoting for tourists from overseas but,

Almost of all sign boards were written by only Japanese.

I feel very disappointing because I saw a lot of foreign tourists walking about the site with curious eyes.
As Mojiko used to be the one of three largest international port,
I thought even only English should posted along the signs and it had better be advised
or instructed by Management Office.

There was another disappointing flyer.

Do you think this is really merit?

I only see disadvantage in this promotion from math. point of view.
(After I came back home, I noticed this and remembered that I drank 18oz.)

This might be caused by someone’s misunderstanding.
But we should not be dishonest after all.

I recognized again that we should be fair and honest, as we are running our business on the tourism industry.

残念な『お・も・て・な・し』

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

１月後半に入ってから、食べられたでしょうか？
今年の「豊前海一粒かき」はなかなかのアタリでしたね。

門司港で開催された「かき焼き祭り」に行かれた方からは次々と「満足」の連絡が入っているようです。

ところが、会場に行ってみると「残念」なことが目につくのです。

「灯火」のゲストを含む、数多くの外国人旅行者がはるばるこの町を訪問しに来てくれているのに、、、

また、自治体をあげて外国人観光客を誘致しているのに、、、

様々な表示に「日本語」しか書かれていませんでした。

イベントが気になるのか、会場をウロウロ見学している外国人の姿を多く見かけただけに残念で仕方ありません。
かつての三大国際港だからこそ、グローバル対応したいものです。
せめて「英語表記」ぐらいは事務局からアドバイスしてほしいなぁと素直に思いました。

さらにもうひとつ気になったのは？？？な宣伝文句です。

これって本当に「お得！」でしょうか？

算数的にいって「損！」な気がするのは自分だけ？
（戻って画像を整理していて気付きました。18oz飲んだよなぁ。）
ゲストによると、韓国人間で一番人気の「焼きカレー」レストランになっているだけに本件が残念で仕方ありません。

おそらく何かの間違いとは思いますが、結果として不誠実になることは避けたいですね

As informed in the previous article, I went to “Buzenkai Oyster BBQ Festival”.

It was sunny and warm like early summer. I was there with T-shirt.

There was only a short period of time, people made short line, but almost no waiting time over all.

Size of oysters was pretty big and I felt that this event is good buy.

(We brought peperoncino sauce and italian taste Buzen Oyster was wonderful. That is TOUKA style, making everything better!)

This event is good for families, couples and small groups, as good grill was provided.

How about visiting there on Sunday, today, which is the last day of this event.

行った、焼いた、食った、大きかった、旨かった、並ばなかった！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。

先の記事でご紹介した「豊前海一粒かきかき焼き祭り」行ってきました。

2月とは思えない陽気で、まるで初夏のような暑さ。
気付くと自分はTシャツ姿で焼台の前にいたのでした。

受付では多少並んだ時間もあったみたいですが、全般的にほぼ並ぶこともなく入場できて、新鮮な牡蠣、海の幸を焼き焼きして堪能できました。

（灯火スタイルのお手軽ペペロンチーノはイタリアンテイストが加わってボ～ノな焼き牡蠣です。）

気になっていた牡蠣のサイズと身の締り具合も、結構大ぶりのものが多く、身も詰まっていてかなりのお得感がありました。サザエのサイズにも大満足です。

焼台もしっかりしていて、家族連れ、カップル、小グループにオススメのイベントだと思いました。本日、日曜まで開催しています。

現在滞在中のゲストさんは、明日は別の場所に観光へ行かれるので「かき焼き祭り」には参加できずに残念がっていらっしゃいました。

今回、自ら焼いて食べてみて、お得感もあり、美味しくて、良いイベントだということが体験できたので、来年は早々に告知して、ゲストの皆さんにも参加を促すようしようと考えています。
