We will have Golden Week 2022 soon, under the risk of 7th wave of COVID-19 pandemic.

Considering infection prevention, we do recommend to visit beaches around here limited this time only.

We have checked several beaches for this three days and we could meet the perfect sunset,

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

再拡大が懸念されるコロナ禍で迎える2022年のゴールデンウィーク。

感染予防も考慮して、当宿がオススメするこの時期限定のスポットはやっぱりビーチですね。

この三日間見てまわりましたが、こんな素敵な夕陽に出会うことができました。

The Season starts NOW!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Weather after 3-day holiday was strong wind with rain of snow mingled.

It seems like the scene described in ENKA (traditional Japanese song).

Kanmon strait is inland sea but waves hit pier’s wall very hard. It looks like winter shore along the Sea of Japan.
Flying Seagulls, being hit by gust of wind, reminds me an ENKA singer.

Yes, it is the middle of WINTER!

And now is the beginning of wonderful season of our speciality.

Yes, it is OYSTER season now!

I got a bag of oysters from my parent’s friend, who is farming oysters. I opened them quickly and made them slide into my stomach.
(I eat just after opened them usually, but I arranged them on a dish for taking a picture.)

When he gave them, he said the size is small. But they are enough bigger than normal size of oyster in general.

Standard size of “BUZEN HITOTSUBU KAKI” (brand name of oyster here) is pretty big.

Many people says that oysters this year are filled well in their shells. I really confirmed it with these.

Over the next two months, we want our guests not to forget writing “To eat Fresh and Delicious Oyster” on their “Things to do list”.

さぁ、待ちに待ったシーズン到来！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

連休明けの関門は強風！雪混じりの冷たい雨が窓を叩きます。

その様子は、まさに演歌！

関門海峡は内海なのに、、、押し寄せる波はまるで冬の日本海の様相です。
風に煽られながら飛び交うカモメにつられて、拳を右脇腹から前に出してしまいそうです。

さあ、冬本番です！

で、冬といえば、この土地一番の名物のシーズンです。

そう、「牡蠣」が旬っ！

牡蠣を養殖している知人からいただいたひと山を、カパカパと出際よく開けて、、、次から次へとチュルチュルと美味しくいただきました。
（いつもは開けた端から食べるのですが、今回は撮影用に一皿分だけ並べてみました。）

小さいからといただいたのですが、一般的な基準で見れば、十分大きいです。

それが「豊前一粒牡蠣」！

今年は結構身が詰まっている、と聞いていましたが、まさにその通り。身がブリブリ入ってます。

これから2ヶ月半の間、いらっしゃるゲストさんは、ココでの「やることリスト」に「豊前一粒牡蠣」を忘れられませんよう！

As informed in the previous article, I went to “Buzenkai Oyster BBQ Festival”.

It was sunny and warm like early summer. I was there with T-shirt.

There was only a short period of time, people made short line, but almost no waiting time over all.

Size of oysters was pretty big and I felt that this event is good buy.

(We brought peperoncino sauce and italian taste Buzen Oyster was wonderful. That is TOUKA style, making everything better!)

This event is good for families, couples and small groups, as good grill was provided.

How about visiting there on Sunday, today, which is the last day of this event.

行った、焼いた、食った、大きかった、旨かった、並ばなかった！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

先の記事でご紹介した「豊前海一粒かきかき焼き祭り」行ってきました。

2月とは思えない陽気で、まるで初夏のような暑さ。
気付くと自分はTシャツ姿で焼台の前にいたのでした。

受付では多少並んだ時間もあったみたいですが、全般的にほぼ並ぶこともなく入場できて、新鮮な牡蠣、海の幸を焼き焼きして堪能できました。

（灯火スタイルのお手軽ペペロンチーノはイタリアンテイストが加わってボ～ノな焼き牡蠣です。）

気になっていた牡蠣のサイズと身の締り具合も、結構大ぶりのものが多く、身も詰まっていてかなりのお得感がありました。サザエのサイズにも大満足です。

焼台もしっかりしていて、家族連れ、カップル、小グループにオススメのイベントだと思いました。本日、日曜まで開催しています。

現在滞在中のゲストさんは、明日は別の場所に観光へ行かれるので「かき焼き祭り」には参加できずに残念がっていらっしゃいました。

今回、自ら焼いて食べてみて、お得感もあり、美味しくて、良いイベントだということが体験できたので、来年は早々に告知して、ゲストの皆さんにも参加を促すようしようと考えています。
