In the last weekend of the Obon holiday,

fireworks were once again going off in this town, and we were able to watch them from this guesthouse.

However, after seeing the large and impressive fireworks at the Kanmon Strait Fireworks Festival on the 13th, we feel a bit dejected if it’s just a small fireworks event.

These days, the dreariness reminds me of the end of summer.

お盆休み最後の週末。

わが町ではまたまた花火があがり、当宿からも見物できました。

ただ13日の関門海峡花火大会の大きく迫力満点の花火を見てからは、ちょっとした花火程度だとなんかしょぼく感じてしまいます。

そして、そのしょぼさが夏の終わりを連想させるこのごろです。

夏のルーティーン / Our summer routine

Our summer routine

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

We still have hot days in Kanmon area, but we feel a little more comfortable morning and night lately.

Because this summer is the first summer without movement restrictions against COVID-19 infection, we have more frequent summer routine, we feel.

The summer routine:

1. We hear the explosive sound coming from outside around 19:00 to 20:00.

2. We go up second floor and open the window to confirm the direction of the sound.

3. We open the window of right direction.

4. Enjoying the fireworks going off in the distance.

Coming weekend will be the last weekend of August. We hope that fireworks go off somewhere in this strait area.

夏のルーティーン

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

まだまだ暑い日が続いていますが、心なしか朝夕が過ごしやすくなった気がしなくもない関門エリアです。

今年の夏は、新型コロナウィルスの行動制限のない初めての夏だからか、夏のルーティーンが例年より頻繁にあるように思います。

夏のルーティーン：

日が沈んだ後の７時半８時ごろ、どこからともなく聞こえる爆発音。

２階に上がって窓を開けて音のする方角を確かめる。

音のする方角が見える窓を全開にする。

遠くにあがる花火を愛でる。

８月の週末も残すところあと一回。きっとこの週末もどこかで花火あがるだろうな。
