Feel the special power

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The rainy season area in Japan has further expanded as of Saturday.

My favorite spots to visit during the rainy season, TSUYU,  are not only mountains and mountain streams.

Yes, beaches in the rainy season is also good!

The rainy season front brings with it a low pressure system…

and low pressure brings wind and waves.

During the rainy season, oceans around Japan are very sensitive.

This year’s rainy season coincides with the summer solstice,

and furthermore, it coincided with a full moon and the spring tide.

Am I the only one who feels like it has some sort of special power?

なにか不思議な力を感じる

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

日本国内、梅雨入りエリアがさらに拡大しました。

そんな梅雨に訪れる大好きなスポットは山や渓流だけではありません。

そう、梅雨の海も最高です！

梅雨前線は低気圧をともない、、、

低気圧は風と波を連れてくる。

梅雨の期間、日本の海は敏感に反応します。

折しも、今年の梅雨入りは、夏至とも重なり、

さらには満月で大潮とも同時期になりました。

なんか特別なパワーがあるように感じるのは自分だけでしょうか？

Moon, wind and the sea

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Where did you enjoy watching harvest moon yesterday, Friday?

I went to the beach to feel the full moon with my whole body.

As you know, surging waves to the beach change very much depend on wind and tide.

But we found out that there are not a few people know that spring tide happens same timing as full moon and new moon.

It is unique feeling that we can feel power of surging waves made by rising tide which is originally created by the gravity of the moon even before the moonrise in the evening.

Thank you and you have a nice day not only watching but also feeling the power of nature .

P.S. As I was afraid, Wifi connection around the beach was not strong enough. But it is not bad to enjoy nature away from internet.

月、風、そして海

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

金曜日の中秋の名月、どちらでご覧になりましたか？

自分は満月を体で感じるため、海へ。

押し寄せる波は、風の力、潮の満ち干によってその様子が大きく変わります。

ご存知の通り、潮の満ち干は月の引力によって起こります。

でもゲストさん達と話してみて意外と知らない人が多いのが、その干満の差が一番大きい大潮が満月と新月に起きること。

中秋の名月が昇る前から、満月の引力で満ちてくる波の力を体全体で受ける、なんとも不思議な感覚です。

（人類の祖先である海洋生物の中には満月で大潮の日に産卵するものが少なくありません。きっと人間の本能にもそういう感覚が残っているのかもしれませんね。）

それでは、見るだけでなく自然のパワーを感じる素敵な一日を！

P.S. やはり海ではWifi弱く、ネットから離れて自然を満喫するもわるくないですよ。

On the day of full moon and the flood tide, they appear one after another

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The full moon of this month, June, is just about now, when I post this article.

Friday night with full moon and the flood tide, they appear one after another from nowhere.

They are not ghosts, zombies nor COVID-19 infected people.

They are Anglers.

They seemed to be caught by something. Some of them came with uniform directly from their work place.

Actually, Kanmon strait is famous among anglers for good fishing spots.
Strong current moving back and forth refreshes water in the strait and water is pretty clear here.

Here, the full moon is coming out from mountains. Good luck for their big catch!

How about you come here to be heal your overwhelmed mind with staring at your line into the water?
(We have fishing rods you can use.)

大潮で満月の夜にぞくぞくと

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

今６月の満月は今朝、ちょうどこの記事を発信する今頃です。

満月の夜を迎える大潮の金曜日には、夕方になるとどこからともなくぞくぞくと現れてきます。

幽霊でも、ソンビでもなければ、新型コロナ感染者でもありません。

そう釣り人たちです。

まるで何かに取り憑かれたように。なかには着の身着のまま、仕事帰りの作業着で登場する人も。

実は関門海峡は釣り人には人気のスポットなんです。
潮の干満にあわせて、大量の海水が海峡を行き来するため、意外や水はとてもキレイです。

さあ、満月が山から顔を出しました。大漁祈願！ 釣れると良いね。

夜景を見ながら糸を垂らして、自粛生活で疲弊した心を癒やしてみるのはいかがでしょう？
（当宿では、釣竿などお貸ししますよ。）
