No one can stop this situation! Can you?

This is really serious* situation.
(*We, who were born in this town, cannot overlook this.)

TOUKA can make people STAY here but
TOUKA cannot make people STOP moving out.

According to the TV news, this is worst situation in whole JAPAN.
And to make matters worse, this situation never changed in recent 4 years.

There are not few guests, who said “I want to live in this town (country)”.
Such dream should be connected to the policy of local government, who want to increase its population.

For the person like me, who was sick and tired living in big city, it is comfortable to stay in current condition of less population in modern city.

P.S. As far as I know, this is the #1 city, people over 50-years-old want to move in. What’s happening here?!

「灯火」では、ゲストを「泊める」ことは出来ても、
この流れを「止める」ことはできません。

なんと「全国最悪！」らしいです。それも4年連続！

海外からのゲストさんには、この街（国）に住んでみたいという人が少なくないのに、、。
そんな想いが、自治体の「増やしたい」想いと繋がればいいのにね。

都会生活に疲れた自分的には、現在の人口密度はとても心地よいのですが、、、

それではどうぞ多過ぎず、少な過ぎず、すべてに程よい素敵な一日を！

P.S. 自分の知る限りでは、確かココって50歳以上が移住したい街ナンバーワンだったと思うんだけど、、、これって、いったいどういうこと？！

One of my friend from high school stayed in TOUKA and we went together to eat our hometowns speciality from the sea.

It is one week to the Event and now is the best timing to eat” BUZEN HITOTUBU KAKI (oyster)” here

We want our guests to try this special food in special setting in the next weekend.
(There is still vacant space to stay in female dorm room in TOUKA.)

If you are busy next weekend, please don’t be disappointed.
Because, Local Oyster BBQ cabin is very HOT now.

It is not bad to eat oyster watching ocean.

(And you add ordering your favorite materials.)

もうプリップリで、今が食べ頃っ！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

久しぶりに帰省した高校の後輩が当宿を利用してくれたので、一緒に故郷の名物を食べに行きました。

ちょうど名物「豊前海一粒かき」を食べる冬の一大イベントまで一週間。
まさに今が一番旨いタイミングです。

どうぞこの町のイベントで旬の牡蠣を召し上がってください。
（＊お宿は「灯火」へ。女性用ドミトリーに空きがございます。）

もしお忙しくて日程が合わず、次の週末のイベントに来れなくても大丈夫。
地元の「カキ小屋」が今とっても熱いです。（人気も、温度も！）

海を眺めながら食べる牡蠣は格別ですよ。

ひと通り牡蠣焼きが楽しめるセットで1,500円。
（そこから好みに合わせて追加オーダーしていくイメージです。）

初乗り、50円っ！/ Somewhere over the Red Bridge!

Somewhere over the Red Bridge!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

As our guests check out very early to catch early plane, I wake up before 6AM and sent them off. After their check out, one idea came up my mind and left here,

For the bridge.

It is my first ride in this year.

This pretty red big bridge was build 2 years before former Tokyo Olympic Game like other buildings/structures. This huge iron suspension bridge was the first in Japan and the biggest in Eastern counties that time.

According to the local government, the toll will be free at the end of this year. So this can be precious experience for me to pay to cross this bridge.

But current fee, 50JPY for motorcycles and Japanese K-car is not so expensive. And the toll may be working to filter the driver to prevent traffic jam.

Somewhere over the red bridge, there are different world, and it is not like same town.

It was my first ride but I will use this bridge more than last year.

Don’t you try to cross this pretty red bridge?

初乗り、50円っ！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

ゲストが朝の便で帰国されるということで、6時前起きでお見送りをした後、ふと思いついて行ってみました。

今年、始めてです。

哀愁すら感じるこの赤い橋も先のオリンピックに照準を合わせていたのか、オリンピックの2年前に完成。日本で最初の鋼鉄製長大橋で、当時は東洋一だったそうです。

計画によると本年末には無料化されるそうで、貴重な有料体験になるかもしれません。今の料金50円（二輪・軽自動車）も決して高いわけではなく、渋滞対策のためにも少額でも料金は取った方がよいのでは、と考えます。

橋の向こう側には、同じ町とは思えない一味違った景色があります。

今回が今年初乗りですが、これからもちょくちょく利用させてもらうつもりです。

この愛らしい赤い橋、一度、あるいは久しぶりに渡ってみませんか？

それでは、橋を越えて、青い空、そして夢の叶う場所へ近づく素敵な一日を！
