Three times more interesting, A Man called Pilate
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
The movie which I saw together with my parents, “A Man called Pilates”.
As the setting of original story is here Moji, my home town, it is three times more interesting for me.
For example:
In the scene of the first office he established in Moji, I found a very familiar mountain way over the street.
When I knew that the scene was created by VFX, I felt happy by knowing the existence of careful geographical conscious of movie production staff. As there is a huge building now between his founded place and the mountain, it is impossible to see the mountain there. But VFX made us possible to see the mountain and it made me surprise and thank to the visual technology.
I was worried about the quality of movie, because I heard that there was no place in Moji where the movie was filmed. However I realized that movie staff didn’t need shooting place in Moji with their high quality of VFX technique and there is no need for us to concern about filming location. We should concern the setting of original story and true attractiveness of the town, more than filming location.
( I personally believe that my home town is quite attractive geographically, historically, and anthropologically, no matter if local people do not notice it. )
Anyway, there are so many such scene in this movie, that the people of Moji can find. I do not point any more, because it may reduce excitement of my friend and people from same province. Please watch the movie carefully.

三倍楽しい映画 〜 海賊とよばれた男
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
火曜日に両親を誘って見に行った映画「海賊とよばれた男」。
オリジナル・ストーリーの舞台がここ門司であることもあり、何気なく見ているだけで三倍楽しい映画でした。
たとえば、、、
創業した店舗前のシーン、通りの先に見える山は、いつも見慣れている◯山ではないですか！（ ◯の中の文字は知る人ぞ知る、ある意味ジョークです。）
それが、VFXの特撮で後から加工されている背景だと知った時には、制作側のきめ細かいプロ意識を感じて嬉しくなったりします。実際には生涯学習センターの大きなビルがあるために、現在 この◯山は創業場所からは見ることが出来ない訳で、ほんとVFX様さまです。
ロケが全く門司で行われていないことから、誘致が弱いのではと危惧していましたが、VFXでこれが実現するとは、、。 バーチャルワールドのハイクオリティーに、ロケがあったとか・ないとか、地元住民が一喜一憂すること自体意味がないということを実感しました。 むしろ原作の舞台であるかどうか、その土地が持つ本来の魅力の方が重要であることを再認識しました。
（そういう意味で、我が郷土は潜在的な魅力があるなぁと感じる今日この頃。それに気付いていない人が多いのが残念なぐらいです。）
さて、この映画、地元だからわかるこうしたパーツが随所に出てきます。ここであまり言うと未だ見ていない友人・同郷の人がつまらなくなるのでこの辺で、、、よーく目を凝らして映画見てくださいね。
