Grand Open Yesterday!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
A few months ago, we were surprised watching crane arm in the middle of guesthouse window. It shocked us and we wonder if this strait view would be disappeared that time.
However it was our over-anxiety. Far from disturbing view from this guesthouse, we know now that it is a wonderful facility which will support/push our business. And it was grand opened yesterday!
( We can see both new and old shops standing side by side now.)
Generally in this area, everyone focus on the grand opening of the historical station scheduled next month, but the opening of this convenience store is greater benefit for our guests as well as us. The reason was as posted on the article about this guesthouse on a major newspaper in Japan.

New convenience store was opened just on our guests’ flow line between station and guesthouse, to compete with rival store on the opposite side of the road. We hope that we will work together with both stores in this town.

昨日、グランドオープンしました！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
数ヶ月前、ここから見える景色のど真ん中に表れたクレーンのアーム。
もしかしたら、この景色も終わりかと心配しましたが、、、
結論から言えば、当宿の景観や営業を妨害するどころか、大きく後押し・サポートしてくれるうれしい施設が完成しました。そして昨日いよいよグランドオープンの日を迎えたのです。
（今なら新旧二店舗が並ぶ、ユニークな光景を見ることが出来ます。）
ちまたでは来月開業する駅に大きな注目が当たっていますが、当宿としては、いや当宿を利用するゲストにとっては、むしろこちらのほうが有難いオープンです。その理由は新聞にも取り上げていただいたとおりです。

駅・宿間のゲストの動線の真上にオープンした新たなコンビニ、向かいにある競合店とも火花を飛ばしながら、両店ともに当宿と共存共栄していただきたいです。
