Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
In these days, we often get requests of early check-in. At the same time, many guests are checking out very early.
As we are a cheap guesthouse, we accept to keep their luggage most of the time. But we recognized that some guests have almost begged us to let them take rest here.
The biggest reason is the current flight schedule. There was only one flight between Seoul and Kitakyushu in the morning. Now a few guests taught us that they left home around 4am the day.

It is natural that they feel tired after lunch time after their arrival. Because they couldn’t take nap during the short flight.
We have been looking for good advice for them and found out that Kitakyushu Airport is not a guest friendly airport. It is because of its airport lounge. Usually airport lounge is a relaxation space for the guests of both departure and arrival. However the lounge HIMAWARI in Kitakyushu airport is only for the guest of departure.
For example, the lounge KIRARA in Ube airport, which is neighbor airport of Kitakyushu, is open for both departure and arrival.
So I could take rest with good sofa and free drink, whenever I feel tired.
In the same time, I feel sympathy when I was sending off our guests who have to check out in the dark before 7am, because of the same reason as above.
So I ardently hope that there will be also evening flight after March 25, for our guests who will come from Seoul, the capital of neighbor friend’s country.

三月末まで申し訳ない状況が続きます！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
最近、当宿ではアーリーチェックインの依頼がよく入ります。同時にアーリーチェックアウトのゲストも。
安宿につき、荷物預かりぐらいは対応させていただいているのですが、やり取りをするうちに、疲れているので、少し休ませてもらえないかという、嘆願に近い依頼だということが分かりました。
その理由は、主力航路のソウル – 北九州便が朝早い便しかないからみたいです。聞けば、早朝4時に自宅を出て、仁川国際空港に向かったという話もけっこう聞きます。

それでは、お昼すぎには疲れが出てきますよね。搭乗時間もあっという間で居眠りもできないし、、、
そんなゲストさん達になんとか良いアドバイスが出来ないかと調べて分かったのですが、北九州空港って、あまり「やさしくない」んです。なんのことかと言えば「ラウンジ」です。本来、出発前、到着後の寛ぎの場であるべき施設が北九州では「出発時のみ」しか利用できないみたいです。
ちなみに、お隣の宇部空港ではラウンジは出発前・到着後どちらでも利用することが出来るので、疲れている時には良質ソファーとフリードリンクとで休憩がとれてとても助かります。
同じ理由で、7時前の暗いうちにチェックアウトしていくゲストに同情してしまうのは、当宿だけでしょうか？
ゲストさん達のことを思い、3月25日以降にはソウルとの午後/夕方便が再登場することを願って止みません。

P.S. これで雪降って欠航にでもなったら、ゲストはどうするんでしょう？？
