The second comfortable place to stay in Taiwan is
a small hostel in the town of Chiufen where is the most popular place for day trip from Taipei.

The biggest sale point of this hostel is incredible view from its terrace of cloud level. I saw the town of Chiufen in front with beautiful background of Keelung port and sea, furthermore Mt. Keelung in its backside.

Owner is a wonderful lady with her mother maintaining three stories high hostel very clean. I heard that it is hard to get water in Chiufen area, but I could get enough hot water from the shower there. It was really comfortable stay.

Before visiting Taiwan, one of my friend from university time recommended me, “You should stay one night, if you will visit Chiufen”. And I recognized that her advice has a point. There were too many people in steep steps in the evening and no space even for my feet. The situation make me feel even danger. For me to stay one night there and I could have perfect relaxing time with enjoying Chinese tea ceremony in historic tea house.

To get really comfortable place to stay in Chiufen, where many hostel are doing business, you had better to use two keyword. (1) Airbnb, (2) Super-host, as I told you. With these keyword you won’t miss the choice and comfortable night was guaranteed for you.

おはようございます。

台湾での二軒目の宿は、、、
台北からの日帰り旅行として一番人気の「九份」の宿。

こちらの宿の一番のウリは雲の中のテラス。その前面には九份の町並み、さらに奥手には基隆の港と海、背後には基隆山、絶景の宿です。

女性オーナーがお母様と一緒に営まれている宿で、とても清潔です。水の確保が大変と言われる九份でシャワーのお湯も豊富に出て、快適なステイを楽しむことが出来ました。

大学時代の友人に旅行前から勧められていたのは「九份は黄昏時に人気の観光地で夕方から夜にかけて異様なほどの人であふれるのでその良さがわからない。行くなら一泊して朝の九份も味わうほうが良い」とのこと。

そのアドバイス、まさに的確でした。急な階段の町の黄昏時は足の踏み場もなくて、散策するのが怖くなるほど。一泊して、爽やかな朝にのんびり中国茶を楽しむこともできて、至福のひとときでした。

快適な九份ステイ。民宿の乱立するこの町での宿選びのキーワードは (1) Airbnb、(2) スーパーホスト。これで快適な一夜が保証されます。

Comfortable space locates over steep steps!

At the end of the report about trip to Taiwan, let me introduce two comfortable accommodations.

At first, I stayed in wonderful guesthouse in the middle of Taipei.

Its building is very old and has stand there since Japanese rule age. The guesthouse & cafe were renovated from such historic building.

It has huge common spaces, such as terrace on the third floor, reading room on the second floor. I could enjoy very comfortable stay. (It costs about 3,500JPY/person/night for private room.)

It may be the natural rule that comfortable spaces always located over steep steps/roads.

Recently I think I did master a method how to find comfortable accommodation with fully enjoying the local atmosphere. There are two keyword. (1) Airbnb, (2) Super-host. With these keyword you won’t miss the choice.

Not only for foods but also for accommodations, “expensive is comfortable” is too easy thinking. Most important idea is “cheap and comfortable”. From now on every aspect of our life will lead to this idea.

台湾旅行について記事の最後に、心地よい宿を二軒ご紹介！

今回、台北市内では、町中の真ん中にある素敵なお宿に滞在しました。

建物は古く、日本の統治時代からのものをリノベしたカフェ＆ゲストハウスです。

カフェを含む共用部分が広く、３階にはテラス、２階には読書室があり、古い建物ではありますが、とても快適に滞在することが出来ました。（これで一泊一人3,500円ぐらい）

急な階段や坂の上には決まって安くて快適な宿があるのでしょうか？

最近ようやく、旅先に溶け込んで雰囲気を満喫しながら、快適に過ごせる宿を見つける術が分かってきました。キーワードは (1) Airbnb、(2) スーパーホスト。これで宿をハズす確率がグッと減るでしょう。

食べ物も宿も「高くて快適」は当たり前、いかに安く・心地よく過ごせるか、これからのスタイルはすべてそこに行き着くと思います。

After eating in-flight meal in cool lunch box, I found that there is a video program for the tourists from Taiwan. (note: followings are full of local topics.)

It is the video to introduce sightseeing spots in Mojiko. It has very local Mojiko people friendly contents, not like ordinary Mojiko guidebooks in Japan. I was impressed that may spots are from the area, east side of old tram lines, including SAKAE-MACHI Shopping street, which has many shuttered shops.

( I wonder if the Japanese sweet shop in the video has many guests from Taiwan. And I visited there and surprised. Because it has sign “Due to master is in hospital, we will close for a while”. I hope the master is doing OK.)

小洒落た箱で提供されるお弁当を食べ終えた頃、台湾からの韓国客向けのビデオ・チャンネルに気が付きます。（注：ここからちょっとローカルな話になります。）

門司港観光を紹介するビデオ・プログラムなんですが、元々からの門司港住民を喜ばせる内容になっています。日本の一般的なガイドブックの情報とは異なり「電車通り」から東手のスポットの比率が高く取り上げられていることに感動しました。シャッター商店街に限りなく近い「栄町銀天街」にも焦点当たってます。
