The man came from the facility which locates 600m west from here, looked around this guesthouse, and gave a stamp of approval on the safety document.

After that, we exchanged information about big fire disasters happened frequently in this city.

We decided to take a closer look at the reality and people’s weak points of this city, which is vulnerable to man-made disasters, let alone natural disasters. And we have made a mental note to never cause such a problem at our guesthouse.

彼は６００m向こうにある施設からやってきて、当宿施設内を見て回り、書類に太鼓判を押して帰って行きました。

ここのところ、この街で立て続けに起こっている大火事について情報交換をしました。

天災・自然災害どころか人災に弱いこの街の実情をよく見て、絶対にそんな問題を当宿で起こすことのないように肝に銘じました。

Guests have approved

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Since this summer, this guesthouse went into 8th year.

To try not to make our repeat guest feel boring,

we have evolved ourselves little by little without changing the most essential part.

Early this summer, we changed certain part of our guest room on a trial basis and it seems that the change has been welcomed by Asian guests, Western guests and repeat guests. So we decided to make that change permanent.

According to our guest, neighbor apartment roof with KAWARA tiles looks cool as well as the strait view. So it seems that having the view to themselves during the stay increase their sense of satisfaction.

ゲスト認定

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

今年で８年目に入った当宿「灯火」。

はるばる海を超えてやって来てくれるリピーター・ゲストさんたちをも飽きさせないように

本質的な部分は変えることなく、少しづつ進化している「灯火」です。

去る今年の初夏、試験的に変えてみた変化がアジアのゲストさんにも、欧米からのゲストさんにも、さらにはリピーター・ゲストさんにも好評だったので、このまま定着させることにしました。

海峡の景色に負けず劣らず、隣の瓦屋根が好評につき、滞在中はその景色を独占してもらうことで満足感が増すようです。

Usually we have guests from Asian countries.

But we had guests from western country, specially from U.S.

we had cool wind from west coast with smell of rock, punk, and heavy metal.
