It seems that I had a new child.

How many children will I have finally?

Having children all over the world sounds not bad for me.

I couldn’t imagine that I can utilize my experience of glowing my daughter as a single father like this.

This may be our incomparable hosting style. I start thinking that this is very natural for us.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

また新たに子供ができたようです。

最終的に子供の数は何人になるのかなぁ？

シングルファーザー、ガチンコで子育てしてきた経験がこんな風に活きるとは、、、

７８年の利己主義 / Our egoism for 78 years

Our egoism for 78 years

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Every summer, all of Japanese people have become pacifists.

We all look back memories and records of bombing each city/town and damage of atomic bombs.

It is not bad welcoming past enemy president and leaders of developed countries to atomic-bombed land and praying together for world peace.

However we have not had any chances or any memorial days to repent of invasions and bombing done by Japanese Army.

Nowadays, we have so many tourists in Japan from all over the world and we are actually having guests from the town once Japanese Army attacked.

When we host such guests, I personally have some kind of strange feeling, under the condition that Japanese head of state or Emperor have never visited the town in memory of the victims. Is it only myself who feel like that?

７８年の利己主義

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

毎年夏、日本では国民全員がこぞって平和主義者になります。

各地の空襲の記憶や記録を辿ったり、原爆の被害を振り返る機会が増える夏。

自国で炸裂した原爆被害からの平和祈念に敵国の大統領や、先進国の首脳が参加して世界平和に近づく気分を醸成するのは決して悪いことではありませんが、、、

この国が行った侵略や空襲・空爆や虐殺などに対して悔い改める機会はあまりありません。

外国人の日本旅行がブームになる中、そんな日本軍の爪痕残る町からも日本を旅行される人が当宿にいらっしゃいます。

そんなゲストさんをホストしながら、国家元首が訪問しての謝罪などないままの状態で、なんか微妙な気分になるのは自分だけでしょうか？

夏の宿屋冥利 / All our preparation as Guesthouse in summer has paid off

All our preparation as Guesthouse in summer has paid off

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The biggest event of this port town was held on Sunday and it was finished safely and successfully.

Because not only Sunday but also OBON holiday, the town was full of tourists like before pandemic.

As I had some businesses in port town, I drove around the town and search for good hidden spot in the town on the X day.

Most of major spots were closed or crowded, but

we could find some good spots and information and memorized them.

After they went out to see fireworks at pier, we enjoyed watching fireworks at this guesthouse.

We hope our guests who were wearing YUKATAs bought at recycle ship, could enjoy fireworks and OMATSURI atmosphere very much.

Their flavor was a little different from the guests last year, but we felt our all preparation has paid off by sending off guests in petty YUKATA again this year.

The good one which we can utilize in this year was already shared with our guests who is staying now.

夏の宿屋冥利

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

日曜日、この港町最大のイベントが開催され、無事終了しました。

お盆休みということもあって港町はコロナ前のような人出です。

用事ついでに、将来のゲストさんことを考えて、Xデーの穴場スポットを探索してみました。

メジャーなスポットは閉鎖されていたり、混んでいたりしましたが、

いくつか使える穴場スポットを見つけて、メモしておきました。

その中から今回使える情報は花火目当てで滞在中のゲストさんにも共有することができました。

ゲストさんたちが出かけた後は、この宿からゆっくり花火見物させてもらいました。

リサイクルショップでゲットした浴衣に身を包み、ゲストさんたちも花火を楽しんでいただけたかな？

昨年とは少し趣向が違うも今年もまた花火の日に浴衣姿を送り出せるなんて、宿屋冥利につきる思いです。
