Speaking of October

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Several months have passed since movement restrictions due to COVID-19 infection have been lifted.

So we have been preparing for that October event.

As there are not so many kids around here, we may not have opportunities to provide cookies to them. But we are in preparation for Halloween decoration.

( If possible, we would like to decorate this guesthouse with guests. )

We heard that the movement restrictions for Halloween will be implemented in the town of Shibuya. So we want to have fun in a calm atmosphere without getting too flashy.

１０月といえば、、、

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

新型コロナウィルスに対する行動制限が解除されて久しいこの頃。

せっかくの１０月のイベントを楽しみたいと準備中です。

ご近所には子供が少ないので、お菓子を配る機会は少ないかもしれませんが、ゲストさんには雰囲気を味わっていただきたいとディスプレーを準備中です。

（ 出来ることならゲストさんと飾り付け出来たりすると良いなぁ、、、）

渋谷あたりでは新型コロナ改め、ハロウィンの行動制限が出ているようですし、あまり派手にならないように落ち着いた雰囲気で盛り上がりたいですね。

それでは、欧米文化を日本的に楽しむ素敵な一日を！

１０月最後の週末に / In the last weekend of October

In the last weekend of October

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

On the last Saturday of October, we have been in the biggest town in Kyushu, to investigate and study behavioral pattern of local young people and foreigners in this prefecture.

At the same time, we walked around the night town watching throngs of people, it seemed that one big tragic accident was happened in the neighbor country. We know it when we watched the very first news after coming back here.

We do pray for the repose of the souls of many young people who have been sacrificed in the accident.

As the generations of the victims match with our guests, who visited and will visit this guesthouse, so we do worry about them very much.

It shocked us a lot to hear deaths and injuries of young people who are expecting to visit this country to experience different culture after slowing down of COVID-19 spreading.

We hope that young generations will not be involved in accidents or incidents in this period when the infection goes to convergence.

１０月最後の週末に

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

１０月最後の土曜日、地域の若者やこの土地を訪れる外国人の行動パターンを調査・研究に地域最大都市に行ってきました。

街を散策・夜の雑踏を見て回っていたまさにその時間、お隣の国で悲惨な事故が起こっていたことを知ったのは、こちらに戻ってきて見た最初のニュース。

犠牲になった多くの若者のご冥福をお祈りします。

事故の起こった場所や被害にあった世代は、まさに当宿を利用いただいたゲスト・今後利用いただくゲストに合致していて、すごく心配しています。

新型コロナウィルスの感染も随分と落ち着き、これから（また）日本へ異文化体験に来てもらたかった若者の死は大きな衝撃です。

感染が収束に向かう今、抑圧から解き放たれた若者たちが、思わぬ事故や事件に巻き込まれないことを心からお祈りします。

恒例の？サプライズ！/ Usual surprise!

Usual surprise!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

This weekend, it seemed that people were excited with the general election and Halloween.

In our port town some Halloween events were held. But we couldn’t go there, because we prioritized hosting. We hope that those events were all successful to entertain people.

(We thought that they should not limit cosplay related with “port” and “Mojiko”. At least “Taisho romanticism” should be added for more attendance with popular anime cosplayers.)

The best event for this guesthouse was surprise fireworks on Saturday. We could see them shot in the port from here, the hill on steep slope.

We felt sorry for our guest who went out and could not see the fireworks, but she said that she could see it at the sea side gas station. It is good news for us to hear. It was about November but we could still see fireworks in this town. It is good, isn’t it?

恒例の？サプライズ！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

この週末、日本では選挙とハロウィンで盛り上がったようです。

おもてなし優先で見には行けませんでしたが、わが港町もハロウィンのイベントが催されたようですが、盛り上がったのでしょうか？

（コスプレを「みなと」「門司港」縛りにしたのはどうでしょう？「大正浪漫」も入れていたら町は流行りのアニメキャラで溢れたかもしれないですね。）

当宿にとって一番良かったのは、土曜日のサプライズ花火。坂の上の高台にある当宿からは港で上がる花火が見えました。

外出されていたので、ゲストさんは見れなくて残念、と思っていたら、海岸沿いのガソリンスタンドで給油中に花火見れたそうで良かったです。もう１１月になるというのに花火が楽しめるこの町、なんか良いですよね。
