Rain cats and dogs in Kanmon, Japan
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
On the Friday morning, it rained cats and dogs here in Kanmon.
Rain was so heavy and hit the windows so hard, we could not see the view more than 50 meters.
(The fuzzy picture is not by camera shake, it looked really like this.)
Fortunately, rain stopped within 10 minutes. If it continued more than an hour, we might have a big trouble.
We hard that such heavy rain will keep coming to everywhere in Kyushu area Friday and Saturday.
We hope that there will not be any severe damages by that in anywhere in Kyushu.
By the way, the words “Rain Cats and Dogs” always reminds me big quarrel between Tom and Bull in the cartoon “Tom and Jerry”. The rain I saw was really like their fighting.

猫と犬って？！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
金曜日の朝、ここ関門では、バケツを引っくり返したような雨が降りました。
その勢いと窓に吹きつける雨量とで、５０ｍより先の景色が見えなくなるほどでした。
（画像はカメラがブレているのではなく、本当にこんな感じでした。）
幸い１０分ほどで降り止みましたが、、、もしあれが一時間以上降るとヤバかったかもしれません。
そんな雨が金曜から土曜にかけて九州各地で降っている／これから降るようです。
夏直前、梅雨の最終盤に甚大被害が起きないことをお祈りして、、、
ちなみに、、、英語では暴風雨・土砂降りのことを “Rain Cats and Dogs” といいます。実際に使っているのを聞いたこともあります。正確な語源は知りませんが、この熟語を見る度に「トムとジェリー」の中のトムとブルさんのドタバタを思い浮かべるのは私だけでしょうか？
金曜の雨はほんとそんな感じの雨でした。
