Second place in this prefecture!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Well, it’s April starting today!

In Japan, it marks the start of a new fiscal year.

At this time of year, the main attraction for guests from overseas is SAKURA blossom viewing!

It’s not just foreign tourists; Japanese people also want to go SAKURA blossom viewing this season.

So, I went to scout out one SAKURA blossom viewing spots for our upcoming guests.

The place I visited was a very popular SAKURA blossom viewing spot that was ranked second in the prefecture according to a local TV station’s ranking.

It was a shame that this program only featured super-major spots with lots of food stalls, and didn’t include any hidden gems…

It’s been about a week since the cherry blossoms were declared to be in bloom at the best spot in our city, Kitakyushu. I’d say the flowers are still only about 50% in bloom.

The flowers are expected to be at their best over coming weekend, so we will update our guests with the latest information.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

さぁ、今日から４月！

日本では新しい会計年度のスタートです。

この時期、海外から来たゲストの一番のお目当ては桜のお花見！

外国人旅行者に限らず、日本人もお花見に行きたくなる季節です。

というわけで、これからいらっしゃるゲストさんのために、お花見スポットの下見に行ってきました。

訪ねたのは、地方のテレビ局の番付では県内第二番目にランキングされた人気のお花見スポットです。

こちらの番組、屋台がたくさん出るような超メジャー級のスポットばかりで穴場がなかったのが残念でしたが、、、

おいらの街一番のスポットは開花宣言から約１週間。花はまだ５分咲きという感覚でしょうか。

これから週末に向けて見頃になるようなので、ゲストさんに最新の状況をアップデートするようにします。

いよいよ、ついに、、、/ Finally!

Finally!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

This year’s cherry blossom news is far behind the SAKURA blooming forecast.

However the cherry blossoms are finally starting to bloom in this town.

When I checked the most popular spots in the city, as of Friday, only twenty to thirty percent  of the flowers were in bloom.

There are still a few flowers, but the stalls and the flow of people are already in full bloom.

Although many people are expected to come there this weekend, it is likely that the flowers will not be in full bloom during this weekend.

We did recommend our guests to go there tomorrow, Sunday, instead of today for better blossoms.

The best time would probably be during next weekdays.

いよいよ、ついに、、、

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

開花予測から大幅に遅れている今年の桜便り。

いよいよこの町でも桜の花が咲き始めました。

市内最人気のスポットをチェックしたところ、金曜現在でまだ二分〜三分咲きでした。

花はまだ全然ですが、露店の出店状況や人の流れはもう満開でした。

週末には多くの人出が予想されますが、おそらくこの週末中には満開まで咲ききらないでしょう。

ゲストさんには本日ではなく、明日の日曜日に見に行かれることをお勧めしておきました。

きっとベストなのは来週の週日でしょうね。

The most efficient but basic measure!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

I was at the city hall. On the way back, when I went out from different exit,

I found one attractive sign board and they were working hard to preparing their stall.

There were many other festival stalls which is ready for the event of this weekend.

As I had no idea what would be happen there, I searched through internet.

And I found out that this city was preparing to make overcrowded conditions with million of people.

It is my cherished opinion that the most effective infection prevention method is not face musk but staying away from crowds/people. There is no other better way than this.

We decided ourselves to limit people to meet, only with our guests who are looking forward to be at our guesthouse and our family.

On that day, I went back straight to the guesthouse and enjoyed watching fantasy of light from here, one of highlight of the event.

So I am interested very much in the news about infection in the beginning of week which may support my opinion.

Anyway, we think that coming this weekend can be the peak of infection risk in this town, because of area biggest firework festival.

So we wait and see infection condition of the town in next few days and will consider very best way by ourselves.

(Miyagi pref. seemed to decide cancelling same firework event yesterday. We will see which local government is smarter.)

最も基本的で重要なこと！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

先週の市役所。用事を終えて別の出口から庁舎を出ると、、、

そこにはなんとも魅力的な看板。

一心不乱に屋台の設営をしていました。

お城の周りではすでに準備万端、あとは週末を待つのみという屋台がズラリ。

何があるのか検討もつかなかったのでネットで調べると、

なんと市をあげて最も密な状況を作ろうとしていたようです。

持論では、マスクよりもなによりも、人と接しないこと、、、これに勝る感染予防策はありません。

この夏、当宿の利用を楽しみにされているゲストさんのためにも、今接して良いのはおもてなしするゲストさんたちと家族だけ。

その夜も宿に戻り、この高台からイベントハイライトの光のファンタジーを楽しませてもらいました。

というわけで、この持論が正しいのか、週明けの報道が楽しみです。

さらに今週末にはこの町でも感染リスクがピークになりそうです。

この二三日の感染動向をみながら、自ら対応策を考えたいと思います。

（ところで金曜日に開催されていたのと同じ花火のイベントを宮城では中止することを昨日決めたようです。さて、どちらの自治体が賢いでしょうね。）
