Thinking of the towns
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Well, how did you spend yesterday, March 11th?
For myself, it is the day to think of SANRIKU area quietly. As I had visited there 5 times for volunteering and 3 times for traveling/visiting people there (including cycling trip through SANRIKU), I can remember realistically most of the towns broadcast by TV stations on the day.
As I saw, met, and pedaled the areas actually, my memories are still so vivid. So, March 11th is the day for me to think over the things I saw there, the people I met there, and the episodes I listened there.
However now I wonder that we should start utilizing our thought for TOHOKU to each own town we are living, as well as just thinking of TOHOKU.

あの町のことを想って
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
さて、昨日3月11日いかが過ごされましたか？
自分にとってこの日は静かに三陸のことを想う日。５度のボランティア訪問、自転車での三陸縦断を含む３度の被災地をめぐる旅を通して、毎年テレビで中継される場所はほぼ全てリアルに思い出すことができます。
実際に見て、会って、自分の足で巡ったことでその記憶は鮮明です。そしてそこで見たもの、会った人、聞いた話に思いを巡らす、そんな日が自分にとっての毎年3月11日です。
でも今思うのは、震災から１０年以上経ち、個人的にはただ被災地を想うだけでなく、その想いを自分の身近に活かすステージに入っているのではということです。
それでは、未曾有の災害とその記憶を自分なりに咀嚼して身の回りに活かす素敵な一日を！
