“Voyage to good old days!”

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

This is the posting for people who grow up in Moji, specially graduates from 4 public high schools ever exist in this town.

Some visitors came to TOUKA. They came from one place in Mojiko. They and I are from same high school.

The place is “OMOIDE(= Memory) Station” in Mojiko.

School uniforms in good memory are displayed in OMOIDE Station. It reminds us young high school days with the taste of sour Lemon*. ( *In Japan, sour lemon means first love or first kiss generally.) As all four high school are no longer exit in this area (or change location or name), we cannot see the students in those uniforms. Now displayed uniforms are summer cloths and waiting for you to come.

 

Let’s visit “OMOIDE Station” when you come back to your hometown in OBON holidays.

It locates on 1st floor of MONTETSU building, next to Mojito Station.

Open schedule of “OMOIDE Station” will be:
– 13th : Open in Morning.
– 14-16th : Open.

「思い出という甘酸っぱいレモン味の旅を！」

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

門司出身者、それもかつてあった県立四高校の卒業生向け記事です。

門司港の「ある場所」経由で、出身高校の先輩・後輩が当宿を見学に来られました。

ある場所とは「思ひ出ステーション」。

そこには思い出すだけで、ちょっと酸っぱいレモンの味がするような懐かしい青春時代の思い出が詰まった夏服が展示されています（女子だけでなく、男子にも、、、）。 学校自体がなくなったので、町でもう見かけることもない制服です。 何度も督促した結果、ようやく7月も終わる頃、中間服から「夏服」に着替え終わり、皆さんのお越しを待ってます。

お盆に門司に帰省される予定の、区内にかつてあった県立四高校のOB/OGは是非お立ち寄りを！

改装中の門司港駅、東隣の門鉄ビルの1階奥です。

今日確認したところでは、お盆は13日午後が海峡花火のため閉館、それ以外の日は定常通り水曜休みの営業なので、お盆期間はオープンしているそうです。

それでは、このお盆、家族や青春時代の思ひ出いっぱいの故郷への帰省を！

新しい旅探しへ

Japanese Title (邦題)： 「素敵な学校が開校しました」末尾に

There used to be four (4) public high schools in Moji.

They were all fine schools and had their own traditions.

However, there are only two (2) public high schools now.

Four schools had been restructured to two, because of reducing population of children.

(I was also graduated from the one of four.)

This April, one of four high school was rebuilt to a brand new school.

It is no longer a high school, but a special support education school, special school for handicapped children.

“Moji Commercial High School” was changed to “Moji Sogo Special Support Education School”.
(I do not know the exact meaning of this SOGO, fuzzy Japanese.)

April 8th was the school opening day and April 13th was the day of first entrance ceremony.

If you were graduated from MONSHO (= Moji Shogyo Koukou), please come to see how your mother school got changed.

The school is located 110m from us, a little guesthouse TOUKA.

Hopefully in near future, we will have a chance to work together with this new school for its students’ sake.

“素敵な学校が開校しました”

この地 門司 には、かつて４つの公立高校がありました。

そのどれもが特色ある学校で、それぞれに伝統ある学校でした。

現在、門司区には公立高校は２つしかありません。

急激な少子化の影響で、４つが２つに再編されました。

（かくいう自分もその４つのうちの１つの卒業生だったりします。）

この４月、４校のうちの１つが再建築され、真新しい学校が建設・完成しました。

出来た学校は高校ではなく、特別支援学校、つまり障害者児童のための学校です。

「門司商業高校」が「門司総合特別支援学校」に生まれ変わったというわけです。

４月８日に開校式、４月１３日に最初の入学式が執り行なわれました。

灯台下のゲストハウス「灯火」はご近所に出来たこの素敵な学校と共存し、近い将来、なにかしら子供達をサポートする活動ができたら良いなと考えています。
