By the way, what happened with the discussion about border virus control in U.S. military bases in Japan?

Two epicenters of the sixth wave of pandemic in Japan were Okinawa and Yamaguchi (Iwakuni), and both of them are in lifted groups now. Most of people, specially government, don’t want to talk about the essential discussion.

As a host of guesthouse, I personal concern about this more than Ukraine situation.  Similar case will be happen in future.

I personally prefer to listen their military radio when I drive through east of Yamaguchi. But I don’t need virus definitely.

まん延防止等重点措置の解除・延長に関わらず、ここでは両地域間の行き来はとても活発ですが、、、

そういえば、米軍基地での水際対策についての議論って、いったいどうなったんでしょうね？

第六波の二つの震源地は両県ともに解除となってしまいましたが、この議論についてはみんな、特に政府は口にしたがりませんね。

個人的には、ウクライナ情勢より関心があります。きっとまた同じことが繰り返されますよ。

The next disgusting thing

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

In February, we have cold day and a little warm day alternately here in Kanmon area. Some people call this phenomenon as SANKAN-SHION ( 三寒四温 ) in Japan.

If we are being careful to this climate, we can notice that temperature of warm days become warmer little by little.

In such season, I personally worry about

Yes, pollen, cider pollens.

Local TV station started pollen forecast recently.

However, for me who came back from Tokyo, pollen in this area is not so terrible as that of Tokyo area.

We heard that they have more pollens in central mountain area of Kyushu island. But it is not bad here, because this place is surrounded by three seas*, maybe. (Three seas: Hibiki-nada (Japan sea), Kanmon strait and Suou-nada (Seto inland sea))

This may be one of the merit of this place which can be found by people who made U-turn to the hometown.

次なる不快

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

２月に入って、ここ関門エリアは寒い日とちょっとだけ暖かい日とが繰り返し訪れています。日本では三寒四温とか言うようです。

そしてよく気をつけていると、暖かい日の気温が少しづつ上がってきていることに気が付きます。

この時期になると気になるのが、、、、

そう、花粉、スギ花粉です。

地域のニュース・天気予報では花粉予報も始まりました。

けれども、東京から戻ってきた自分にしてみると、この地の花粉飛散は東京と比べると全然大したことありません。

九州も中央の山岳地域に行けば結構飛んでいるようですが、ここ関門エリアは三つの海*に囲まれているからでしょうか？
（*三つの海：響灘（日本海）・関門海峡・周防灘（瀬戸内海））

これもまたＵターンしてきたものにしか分からない故郷の良いとこですね。

What does living on the hill mean?

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

There are wonderful experiences we can enjoy here on the hill looking down the straits, such as watching ships go by and fireworks shot around the port.

However this kind trouble can also be happened.

As I could get good conditioned used tire set with cheap price at Osaka on the way back from Tokyo. I change all tires immediately. So we didn’t have any serious issue or wasting time. We have to be conscious about things which we don’t need under the hill.

But there are much more advantages than disadvantages living on this hill. It’s too fun and we can’t stop it.

This guesthouse was started to share such experience of living on the hill. Don’t you try to experience one time?

坂の上に住む

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

海峡を望む坂の上に住むと、行き交う船や、港で打ち上げられる花火なども見れて色々と素敵なことがあるのですが、、、

ちょうど前月、東京からの帰路途中で大阪で手に入れた格安バリ溝中古タイヤがあったので即交換し、事なきを得ましたが、ここでは坂の下で気にしなくて良いようなことが気になるようになります。

けれども、メリットがデメリットを遥かに上回る坂の上の生活、、、やめられません。

そんな海峡を望む坂の上の生活をシェアするために作ったのが当宿です。一度、体験してみませんか？
